Dear Guests, you should know that Como is divided into two cities: one low and one high. The lower town, directly on Lake Como, is the historic city surrounded by ancient walls to protect the ancient village where you can admire architecture and art ranging from Roman to Gothic and rationalist architecture. Destination of stay of the European aristocracy and the V.I.P. of all the world. But the low city has some drawbacks: it is rather expensive both in rents and in daily expenses; it is not possible to travel within the ancient city with cars and motorcycles (if not residents); the parking lots are quite expensive; rather rare supermarkets. Then there is the high Como, which is about 3/three km and no more than 10 min. by public transport from the ancient city. Here, right in the center, our two different apartments are located. Strategic location; services available by walking a few steps (no more than five minutes): 1) Bus and train station for all directions; 2) Italian and ethnic restaurants, pizzerias and brasseries with craft beer production,for all budgets; 3)Banks with ATM withdrawal 4) Pharmacy; 5)Highway at 2 Km; 6) 800m from the Baradello castle. A few steps from our building, there is Piazzale Camerlata, the center of the district, where there is a monumental fountain by Cesare Cattaneo and Mario Radice, around which car traffic winds. Next to Piazzale Camerlata there is a comfortable and large Esselunga supermarket with a bar / cafeteria, 9 cinema halls, laundry, tobacco shop and hairdresser. From Piazzale, on foot, you can enter the forest road of Castello di Baradello and, at the top, admire the ancient city with its lake. Or in ten minutes. you can reach the lake and the ancient village either through different public bus lines or with your car. Nearby Switzerland (12 km at the end of the border) or Milan can be easily reached via Trenord (regional railways) or Trenitalia (national railways) and Switzerland also by bus from Piazzale Camerlata. If you love the outdoors and sport, 1 km away is the large Spina Verde Park. On foot, in five minutes, you can reach the nearby sports facilities of the Olympic pool, the athletics field and the shooting range.
