Adler Cavalieri Hotel-Private Spa & Gym, hotel in Florence

Just 656 feet from Santa Maria Novella Station, Adler Cavalieri is right in Florence’s center.

The staff was very good. The room clean and nicely appointed. There are two sitting areas on the main lobby level with one removed from the main lobby area so it's quieter. There is a terrace area with a bar just up from the first floor of rooms... another nice little place to sit and enjoy a sparkling water or coffee. The breakfast area and buffet is nice. Breakfast was well done for the most part with a lot of variety to choose from. If you request a cappuccino, it's made and served to you. Beds were comfortable.

Great that you can walk everywhere... every turn offers you something to look at......Despite buying tickets for Uffizi upfront, the queues were ridiculous. We thoroughly enjoyed Santa Croce, beautiful place, straight in and soo peaceful in all the hussle and bussle around... We were there early May and it was busy so can imagine it in the height of summer being extreme (not for us). Ate in a number of places, found Trattoria da Guido lovely!

Florence is a great place to visit, it has many museums and other historic/ art sites to see, it’s like walking back in time. It is easy to get around walking, except for the crowds. Definitely a place to visit during the offseason months Jan-March. It is suffering from overcrowding the rest of the time. They have turned most of the beautiful streets into flea markets. It’s weird how you can have luxury boutiques and cheap stalls almost next to each other. The food…it definitely has nice places worth a visit, but also a lot of overpriced tourist traps with mediocre quality. It is must to see the city’s main sites, but I would not come back just to enjoy the city.

Good transport links to Florence and Fiesole. In a very nice suburb but there is not much to explore. We have aperitivo near the hotel which was in a nice bakery. Very comfortable room and clean. Very good shower. Nice breakfast especially the pastries. Fine if you're going to go out everyday. Dinner was fine but a bit overpriced. €18 euro for a small primi, which is very different to the rest of Italy. Wine selection is nice, again expensive compared to everywhere else in Florence
