Absolutely an oasis in the centre of Cagliari. The staff were fantastic. The restaurant is a gem. Breakfast is far beyond what you expect to be included and dinner at the restaurant with wine pairings was some one of the best meals I've ever eaten, and I've sampled a lot of michelin stars. The location is perfect for shopping/eating and seeing the sights. The gardens are a peaceful reprieve from the city.

The Sardinian capital, Cagliari has a historic old town, busy port and one of the island’s best beaches. The sweeping stretch of sand at Poetto has great summer nightlife, and just inland is Molentargius lagoon, where flamingos nest against the backdrop of the city.
Cagliari is spread over a small hill and the oldest part – Quartiere Castello – lies at the top. There are far-reaching views from Bastion San Remy, its main entrance point. Medieval city walls lead from here to the simple cathedral, and nearby is the 18th-century Palazzo Regio.
By one of the original city gates is the National Archaeological Museum, housing a collection of Phoenician and Roman artifacts from the city’s Tuvixeddu Necropolis. There are also displays of the nuraghic civilization whose former dwellings pepper Sardinia. The most impressive is Su Nuraxi north of Cagliari.
Just outside the walls are remains of a Roman amphitheater, next to the university botanical gardens. Orange tree-lined streets descend the hill towards the seafront where restaurants and bars can be found. Cagliari FC play at Sant’Elia Stadium along the coast and opposite is the Sardinia International Fair, an important conference venue.
Booking.com’s Cagliari accommodations includes luxury hotels with pools, B&Bs by the train station and cheap guesthouses near Elmas Airport.
I liked the antiquity and history. We also visited the Museum of Archeology, a definite must. The sights in Cagliari, the narrow streets and the little train that one can ride for a minimal fee.
The shop, cafe and restaurant servers were all gracious and nice, very friendly.

Weather was not nice, so we cannot really use the beaches or go the mountain (to much windy), but center and close surroundings of Cagliari are nice, wonderful views, walking in small streets. We recommend to take bus Nr.7, which is circular line. How the driver is driving thru small streets - respect. In any case is better for stay in the city to use buses - it'smore practical and ecological, cheap and good service, parking is anyway difficult.

Excellent small town, which is very pleasant to walk around, enjoy the architecture and food. In general, there is not much to do in it, except to spend time by the sea and on the beaches. 3 days is fully enough to see all parts of the city.

Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs.
Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs. Easy to get around and all nearby. Loved the narrow streets and Marina. Great cycling tour of the city to Poetta beach. The Botanical Gardens were fantastic - well worth the visit. The public civic gardens were lovely and so well maintained by the hard working crew. Also the art gallery at the end of it was small but beautiful.

A truly Mediterranean city, warm and full of life and positive vibes. It's history and culture deserve much more respect than it actually receives. Some spots are neglected (particularly Bastione San Remi), the roads are not in the best shape and overall there is a sense of neglect. Luckily the locals with their helpful attitude make up for the minuses which most probably are created by the local authorities.
The room was immaculately cleaned. We had a gorgeous view from our balcony. We could see the mountains! The service was impeccable. The staff were so kind and helpful even with the language barrier as they were Italian speaking and we are English speaking. We enjoyed every thing about it. Lovely air conditioning, comfy beds, very central location, and lots of space for suitcases and clothe. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again when going again to Sardinia!
We were utterly overwhelmed buy our host's kindness and hospitality. Room was very clean, comfy and spacious, and quiet at night. We had a lovely, rather sweet, breakfast with delicious coffee and access to a little fridge, which appeared to be a necessity in the Sardinian heat! There was also a beach set with all equipment necessary for the beach, which was very convenient. We had a fantastic time. Thank you Leo and Lorenzo!
The location of this hotel is fantastic, but nothing exceeds how amazing the staff is! Roberta went above and beyond to help me when travel plans changed quickly for me. As it was difficult to get a taxi to the airport, a staff member was kind enough to take me early in the morning. I greatly look forward to spending time here again on my holiday next year. I can’t say enough good things about my experience!
Simona was the most amazing host. She brought us Sardinian sweets and breakfast that lasted for days. Additionally, there was a lot of food/drinks in the apartment itself. She gave us detailed information about Cagliari and where we can find good restaurants and answered all of our questions. I would definitely recommend staying at her apartment.
The apartment was spacious, nicely equipped with all the necessary things, close to a supermarket, and to the bus station. The washing machine and the dishwater a great help, too. The air conditioners in every room made a huge difference, Sardegnan temperatures are brutally high. It was close to city centre by foot, about 25 minutes.
Palazzo Tirso exceeded our expectations.
The hotel opened in April, so everything is brand new. The breakfast is outstanding and the staff exceptional, specially Demetri who went above and beyond to ensure that we learned about all the cool spots in Cagliari.
Location is great. Walking distance from all the main points in the city.
Such a beautiful apartment with perfect little details everywhere. Roberta went above and beyond to make us feel at home and provided very helpful information for our stay. The breakfast was wonderful and it was a perfect welcome to Cagliari and our first time in Sardinia. Couldn't recommend it enough!
Susanna is a fantastic host. She is very helpful and always there if you need her.
The room is great, the attention to details is impeccable. Quality of breakfast is outstanding, fresh and real Sardinian products.
The accommodation is in the heart of Cagliari so it’s perfect for everyone.
Walking distance to the center of Cagliari, the entire hotel was clean, comfortable, spacious bathroom, good water pressure, fast wifi, great breakfast. The staff was very friendly & Giuseppe went above his duties to accommodate us & make our stay more enjoyable. Would def stay again.
The best stay of our vacation in Sardegna, we stay also in Olbia and Sassari.
The room was spacious enough, the breakfast amazing, also we had the lunch there and it was very good.
The bus station was near the hotel with good connection to the city center and the railway station.
Davide the host met us at the airport and was very helpful about suggestions for eating out and places to see. His excellent English and friendly manner made our stay easy. The room was spotless and has excellent security. The elevator to the hotel floor is a a great plus.
Great breakfast, very kind and helpful hosts. place in perfect spot, close to all main atractions in Cagliari. Definitely worth visiting again in the future. Very reasonable price for a (very) last-minute trip, booked just days before flying on Sardinia.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
The place is really beautiful and has a Sardinian vibes perfect for people who would like to be in the heart of Cagliari city.
Also, is a peaceful area but at the same time is full of restaurants and life around.
Beautiful villa stay with gardens. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, room was very comfortable and large and well equipped. This was my favourite stay in Cagliari on our final night in Sardegna - I wished we stayed another night!
Good value hotel with attentive staff. Great location with access to Yenna piazza, bus terminal (Poetto beach!), train station (airport connection), many restaurants, Crai supermarket, Sunday flea market.
Super convenient to the train station, which is an inexpensive (1.30€) and quick trip from the airport. Cagliari is easy to get around so drop your bags here and go explore.
An excellent hotel with first class staff. Ideal if you want to stay beachside, but within an easy reach of Cagliari city centre and a short drive to the airport.
