The passion stimulates the Altini family to relaunch ancient crops such as "Farro", which is used in the kitchen for the preparation of Romagna piadine and soups, as well as Romagna shallot I.G.P. used to enrich local dishes. The protection of ancient recipes and flavors is the guideline for cooking and tasting at Sabbiona. We also offer cooking classes precisely because the traditions are not lost. The fortunate position, a beautiful swimming pool, the veranda on the plain, genuine breakfast and dinner, all of this is what the guest finds for the holiday and relaxation where intact nature is completed with the proximity of multiple places to discover. La Sabbiona is surrounded by 2 natural parks, ideal for those who love walking and embracing a 360 degree panorama. Cleaning and sanitizing of all our room and accommodation has always been one of our main purpose In this time of pandemic, we have increased every effort for the safety for all people of our Agriturismo. of course using every recommended by the Ministry of Health. It is possible to have dinner by agreement Podere La Sabbiona was already existing in 1600, it was owned by the Notary Salvioni, councilor of the Municipality of Faenza and notary of the small municipality of "Oriolo dei Fichi", a nice medieval tower: properly called "Aureolum. So La Sabbiona is in a fortunate panoramic position, just 6 km from Faenza. The company is immersed in a suggestive hilly landscape; on one side the Di Oriolo tower, on the other Faenza and the Ravenna plain with its thousand lights in the night. On clear days on the horizon, the skyscrapers of Cesenatico and Milano Marittima appear like small toothpicks In the cellar the grapes produced on the farm are vinified, from which top quality D.O.C and I.G.T. wines are obtained typical of Romagna. Attention at ancient varieties of native vineyards such as Centesimino. Possibility of tastings and visits for groups, especially for those who love the culture of good drink combined with typical dishes of our restaurant.
