Very comfortable cabin surrounded by beautiful nature.
Lovely property very cosy and warm. The surrounding areas are beautiful. The hot tub was perfect after a day of exploring. We made use of the cooking facilities for the week this was really handy. Perfect location for exploring the north.

The guesthouse is wonderful, we really loved it.
The guesthouse is wonderful, we really loved it. Very cosy and clean room, nice beds, great shower. Microwave, tea facilities, bathrobes for the hot tub. The cute horses on the land. The wonderful hot tub, sitting there at night under the stars waiting for the Northern Light was a magical experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast very good and the staff was so nice to us. We are vegetarian and they made scrambled eggs especially for us without bacon, thank you so much! We regretted having to leave, but when we are in the area again we will definitely come back!
Perfect location along the Ring Road for Myvatn, Husavik and Akureyri. Check in was easy. The kitchenette was great and we had ample space for the two of us. The highlight for us was the hot bath. It was the only place we stayed at that had one and it was absolutely amazing. We wish we were there more than two nights. The nice thing is you fill it when you want to use it. So the water is fresh and no chemicals. We had the good fortune of seeing the Aurora on our first night while we were in the hot bath!
Breakfast was wonderful as described by everyone else, fresh cooked farm eggs, homemade apple pie, lots of variety. For sure the best breakfast on our whole trip. It seems the northern area is more expensive for lodging overall, and this was one of the most expensive, but worth it. Tea and homemade cookies when we arrived. Room was pretty large by Iceland standards, nice bathroom. Lots of animals right outside to visit with. The host was very welcoming and helpful.
+ beautiful location, nice little cabins
+ two bedrooms one with double bed, one with bunk beds
+ hot tub! (Tho we didn’t use it I’ll admit)
+ well equipped small kitchen
+ great shower, powerful & hot
+ great food at Dalakofinn cafe nearby (5 mins drive away)
+ close to Godafoss (15 mins), Snow Dogs (10 mins) and Myvatn (40 mins) as well as Husavik (30 mins)
++++ we saw northern lights!
Of all the 7 places we stayed at in Iceland this had the friendliest staff. Easy booking & out. A huge complex with ample parking. Good sized room & shower.
Nice breakfast, with cooked sausages, scrambled eggs & bacon. Lovely continental selection also & nice breads to eat or toast.
Note that this place is private school for 9 mths and available for summer holiday bookings only.
the location was great- within 30 min you can get to the lava fields, myvatn baths, kafla, et . there is a small supermarket right next door and a restaurant.
the host, Helga, was lovely and attentive.
the apartment was spacious and comfortable. the kitchen was stocked and had coffee, tea, oil, sugar and pots and pans etc.
there was also a washer and dryer, which was amazing!
Loved staying here! Rooms were very comfortable, it was very quiet at night. Facilities were excellent! Even the hot tub was lovely. I had the opportunity to do my laundry here, the hosts were extremely helpful and the breakfast was really good! This was the only place I stayed in Iceland that had breakfast included. I definitely recommend staying here!!
we stayed there for 2 nights and really liked it!
the location is perfect to explore the area around (between myvatn and akureyri) - Aurora spotting!
the appartment is quite large (didn´t expect that) and the kitchen well equipped and we even got a free entry to the public pool nearby
Friendly hosts. The breakfast was very good and we really liked the area around Laugar. The room was a bit crowded for the three of us with all of our luggage but the beds were comfortable. The common area was excellent with room to sit and eat without infringing on the other guests.
Conveniently located when traveling North. Kind staff, great breakfast and comfortable room. Nice tea and coffee available. Fun decor, books and other Icelandic info. Hot tub outside but we didn’t stay long enough to use it. Friendly dog on property!
It is one of the most comfortable places in Iceland that I've stayed, such a lovely apartment. Really lovely bed, great shower and great facilities including the Hot tub. That's why it's been my second time back here. Such a great location as well.
Very good location, close to Myvatn but without any insects which are so unpleasant in Myvatn. Absolutely wonderful hot tube with a geothermal water. Very involved owner. I fully recommend!! Thanks again for stay there.
Upstairs apartment was roomy and comfortable for 2 people. Modern kitchen and trendy decor. Godafoss, mud pots, crater, Huvalik and Lake Myvatn were about 30 minutes away and Dettifloss was just over an hour.
It was a lovely guesthouse in a very convenient location! Very close to Myvatn lake and Husavik! Which were our main spots int he north side of Iceland !
Comfortable and clean room. I would stay there again
Very lovely and comfortable apartment! We enjoyed our time, even though it was only one night! Perfect to explore the region Myvatn. Thank you to Elly and Fridgeir, we would come again.
Location was great. Halfway between Akureyri and Myvatn. The owner met us on arrival to hand over the keys and showed us around. Has washer and dryer. Would definitely recommend.
Execellent location, close to lake Myvatn.
Rooms are simple yet sufficient for all you needs.
Breakfast was hearty.
Staff were kind and nice.
