This hotel exceeded my expectations, as I had read mixed reviews on here regarding some factors like cleanliness, spa facilities and food. We loved this hotel for many reasons: The location was fantastic situated up on a hillside with a beautiful 360 degree view. The hotel itself is a very charming and intimate boutique hotel with an artsy feel. Comfortable common space to sit and enjoy the views outside of your room or to have a cocktail from the bar. The view from our room was amazing, and we were able to see the Northern Lights from our room the night we stayed there. We loved the spa and wished we were able to spend more time there. They have beautiful thermal baths and inside/outside thermal pools in case of weather. We did not partake in the dinner the night we stayed, but the breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. Wonderful dogs on the property that we really enjoyed having around.

location is good. In the middle of no where for northern light hunting. Also if you are doing the golden circle tour, then connect to a road trip to south coast, it's a good location to stay for the night.

The most unique and wonderful stay that we had in Iceland! We stayed for 1 night and had real luck that it was available. The yurt is mega cozy, romantic, warm and comfortable. It has everything you might need (contrary to one might think when you see a "tent"). The hosts live nearby and are so welcoming and kind, we're ever so grateful.
