Our room was clean, with a comfortable bed and the convenience of a small kitchenette and an electric kettle for tea and coffee, which was provided. A quaint pub was on the property and although they did not have a kitchen to provide dinner there were local options nearby and, they did offer and traditional Icelandic breakfast in the morning as well as offer a delicious lamb soup that we had for lunch while staying there. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. I highly recommend staying here if you're going to be in the area.

Excellent location as a starting point for trips on Iceland. As it is on the outskirts of the Reykjavik time is saved by not having to bother with city traffic on leaving to excursions and coming back. It's also convenient that fast food and two supermarkets are next to hotel. We were able to arrange late night check-in and baby cot with short phone call to hotel couple of hours beforehand.

We spent our first night in Iceland at Laxnes. We left early in the morning so did not experience all of the facilities. The staff member who checked us in was nice and welcoming. The room was simple but spacious and clean. There seem to be sufficient places to eat and do your grocey shopping in the area. The location is great. Half way between the airport and Thingvellir park.

The location of the hotel was about 15-20 minutes drive outside of Reykjavik and right off the Golden Circle. Our room looked out onto snow covered mountains; It was absolutely beautiful! The room was large and comfortable. Everyone was so nice. Onsite parking. Our room had a balcony and we were able to see the aurora from it! Very quiet and relaxing

Ásta was always friendly and helpful in our email exchanges. The flat was downstairs in a semi detached building, which you approached along one side. The key was in a small box outside the entrance. The attractive township of Mosfellsbær ( Moor Mountain Township )is nearby ,with Reykjavík not far away.

Breakfast was not included. The room was quiet, clean and warm. Don't be surprised. This hotel has a window on the ceiling that allows you to see the outside, and on the first day I arrived in Iceland, I witnessed the Aurora and took a video. I highly recommend it.

A quaint hotel containing artefacts relating to Icelandic culture, including a reference to Halldór Kiljan Laxnes, who won the Nobel prize for literature in 1955. Laxnes lived not far away on the þingvellir road.

Great location off of the Ring Road and the start of the Golden Circle. That is why we chose this hotel. Otherwise, nothing special about the hotel/motel. Good lamb stew in the hotel bar.
