Woodhill House is located just ‘outside’ of the town Adara. Our drive was 3 min into town for dinner. We were there in late winter/early spring. I’m sure the gardens are beautiful later in the season and into summer.
Our host John gave us several ideas for our adventures and was so friendly and welcoming.

So underrated, I would wholly recommend Ardara to anyone looking for friendly, kind locals in Donegal. It’s a quiet town in the middle of the west coast, perfect as a base for exploring Co. Donegal. Nancy’s Pub is great in the evenings; Sliabgh Liag Distillery is a must-visit and Eddie Doherty is a local celebrity with his weaving skills! Reasonably priced Donegal tweed products - much more affordable than the other shop in town. The Courthouse (in the Heritage Center) also does delicious breakfasts and baked goods. The only thing I’d be wary of is walking along the road - the drivers speed regardless of the time of day.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. Parking in free car parks or on the street.
Good base for touring Donegal.
Main hotel Nesbitt Arms are taking in Ukrainian refugees so will be closed to tourist accommodation.
The Corner House & other pubs are lively on a weekend night, so it can be noisy on the streets after hours.
Mostly good pub food available - very few restaurants.
For a start, Geraldine and her staff were wonderful and truly thoughtful. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean and very comfortable. The beds were large and very comfortable too. The main bathroom was large and even cleaner than the rest of the rooms! The kitchen had every convenience, from a large table and many chairs to all sorts of snacks, cereals, tea and milk. Lastly it was quite and peaceful with large windows that looked out on the picturesque Main Street of Ardara. What a great place to stay.
This was perfect for our two night stay in Ardara. The room was fairly small but it was very clean, the bed was really comfortable and we appreciated having a fridge right outside our door. I saw one of the larger rooms and it was very nice.
The living / common area downstairs beside the kitchen is a nice touch and the location of the accommodation is so handy to everything in the town. It's literally yards from a number of great pubs and places to eat.
I would happily stay here again.
Auntie B's is really exceptional. It is a bed and breakfast with impeccable standards all driven by Barbara who has hospitality running through her veins. Pride, great care, generosity and thoughtfulness are to the fore. Simple, bright, well-aired accommodation that is spotlessly clean and a breakfast cooked fresh to order by Barbara herself, and served by her lovely staff. A little gem with more to offer than a lot of hotels. Thank you Barbara for showing how it should be done.
Beautiful location, close to anywhere you want to go but not in the hub of everything, Ardara is a lovely place, Irene is the perfect host makes you more than welcome and nothing is to much trouble, Rooms are very comfortable, we had a great nights sleep, Breakfast was perfect served with Irish wheaten bread, Plenty of space to park your car off road which is a bonus to us Will be back for sure
The location: the apartment is situated less than 4km from Ardara, a lively village with stores and pubs. Also the beautiful Assaranca waterfall and Maghera beach are a short drive away. The host: we had good communication with Annie and she met us on arrival. The bed: it was very comfortable.
Corby House is in a great location, you can easily walk into Ardara. Arlene is a great host and was easy to contact, we also had a lovely meal in her Pantry too. Chinese take away & Nancy's gets the thumbs up too. It's a good base for exploring Donegal.
Location within walking distance of Ardara couldn't be better. Although I had to change dates (to a different week) it was no bother to Louise. Plus I was out early for work and only got back at 11-12am but breakfast was left out for me.
Auntie B was warm and welcoming. the location was good for us, the room snd bath were exceptionally clean, and the Irish breakfast at no extra charge was excellent. we appreciate the value of this accommodation!
The walled garden, which is shaped like a Celtic cross, was lovely, as were the views from the front of the house It was a short and safe walk into Ardara and a good home base for exploring the coastline.
the view was unreal! great location , beautiful home, spotless clean. the host made us feel very welcome.
I would highly recommend the lookout ardara to family and friends. 👌🏻

House is within walking distance to the town. Louise was very friendly and provided us with a wholesome breakfast of cereals, poached eggs, ham, cheese etc.
Great B&B and lovely host. Everything was taken care of. Great room and wonderful breakfast.
Close to Ardara citycenter. Beautiful view from the house.
The location was lovely, with an easy walk in to Ardara. The breakfasts were good, with plenty options and we had a meal one night which was excellent.
