Harkany is a small quiet town and when we walked in the...
Harkany is a small quiet town and when we walked in the evening, some local restaurants (csarda) we saw on Google maps were closed (February). We tried to enter some restaurants at 20h and were told that the kitchen is closed at 18h. Everything is closed in this town in the evening. Funny, but the only way to find some food was to go to Spar supermarket and get some ready-to-go cooked food. Only another thing we found working in the evening was Tenkes Csarda, 6km drive by car. The local bakery on the main street has some local cakes, but the selection was very limited and was nothing special.

Well, what everybody will rather dislike is the current inflation and, consequently, rising prices, but this rise is not that huge. Harkany is an ideal place for relaxation, swimming, lying on the grass in the park where the pools are located, and doing nothing apart from enjoying your time there. If you like the wine offered in the bar located next to the main entrance to the strandfurdo, visit the vinery - its owner is Gergen Birtok and you`ll find his shop in Siklos-Gyod, Jaro Peter ut.35. You can buy there wine on draft or in bottles.

I can sincerely recommend Harkany to everybody starting from families with kids, ending on older tourists looking for good relaxation. Apart from the pools which are the most important attraction, there are some other must-try things - Szigeti Halaszcsarda with fish dishes, Setany Etterem and Amadeus Cukraszda (especially when you travel with kids) The city is small, so you can get everywhere on foot or borrow a bike. Visit Siklos with its castle and go to Villany where you can enjoy wine. My hot favourite - Osi Gabor Pinceszete, the shop located in Villány, at Baross Gábor Street 56 and their white, semi-sweet Mustra.BeataPoland - 10Scored 10

The only thing better than the spa itself was the superb Hungarian food, offered in many restaurants, on the main street, the best of which, in our opinion, was "Robinson" . You should try their 'Libo mai" with the red form Vilany.

I was in Harkány in the early 1990s.
I was in Harkány in the early 1990s. Nothing has changed since then. Time has stopped there. If you visited places like Sárvár or Hajdúszoboszló in Hungary, don´t ever go to Harkány. It´s really disappointing.AndreaSlovakia - 10Scored 10

Nice place with enough choices for walks, meals, sweets...Spa is great. Hellas restaurant we fully recommend, humongous portions, good quality, fast serving and excellent staff. Everything is easy to find, Pecs is on 30 minutes drive, for shopping and site seeing. I will definitely recommend visit to Harkany to all my friends.

First thing is the communication of the hotel before the trip: they were very serviceable, kind and quick to reply. Second, the rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything they needed and more (hairdryer in the bathroom, earpicks and cotton tuffers etc). The staff was also very kind. Breakfast was delicious and had ample of choice, something for everyone's taste. Overall they spoke so nicely of it I'm sure they'll be back again, and will surely bring myself as wellAnjaSerbia

It was very well maintained and superb clean. Kitchen is equiped will everything you need for a short stay. Apartment has two separated Bedrooms and every Room had its own AC Unit and its own TV. Kids liked the little Backyard, so they could play there. It is very quiet and you can rest very well. Host was very kind.

Apartment is very specious (which i think pictures dont show) and newly renovated. It also has a cute little backyard.
