This is perfect location to stay near but not in the old, walled city of Dubrovnik. It's several charming, quirky apartments around a lovely swimming pool - much appreciated in the Dalmatian summer heat. We were in the Hemmingway apartment which is nicely appointed, good size for two people, overlooking the pool, and with a very comfy, large bed in a separate bedroom. There is also a small kitchenette with kettle, fridge, and sink along with glasses, mugs, and bowls. Kristina, our host, was wonderful and even came to find us when we got lost looking for the guest house. Be sure to call when getting a cab or Uber and Kristina can guide them to the right spot to drop you. There are about 85 stairs down to the old town's Ploce Gate; just remember that when coming back.
