Samobor is a nice, small historical city with a lot of cafes, confectioneries, bakeries wineshops and shops for Samobor's culinary specialties - bermet, kremsnita, mustarda, cesnofka, greblica and so on. Not only the historical center of the city is interesting, but also the countryside is excellent for activities like hiking, biking wine-touring.. and/or relaxing. Good quality of asphalt roads in the area would enjoy many motorbike riders, as well.

During our 2-day stop, we visited the old castle (impressive ruins, and through the firing lines you can see straight to Zagreb), swam in a pleasant little pool with a great atmosphere on Vugrinščak and visited the interesting Samobor Museum. We ate great at the Hotel Lavica and tried the Samobor cream cheese (kremsnita) in the cafes U prolazu and Livadić (the cream cheese was slightly better in U prolazu, and the coffee was dramatically better at Livadić). I regret that we missed famous restaurant Gabreku 1929.
Generally speaking Samobor is a pleasant little town with a rich history and beautiful nature. The main square is picturesque and lively. At the time of our visit, many bars were closed (due to annual leave). Closer look shows that the facades could be better arranged (signs have faded, places of service activities, such as hairdressing salons, look sloppy and unattractive), and people could be more interested in their guests.

Very nice small city.
Very nice small city. But I was surprised that in the most of restaurants or bars you can´t use credit card for payment. You need to have a cash. And in case you´re spending there only few hours and then move to different country so it is not necessary to have local currency. But there are a lot of bank machines :-)
We highly recommend visiting this wonderful place! We did not expect and have not encountered such hospitality. the hosts John and Annamaria have created a magical place full of energy and kindness. Even just talking to them was enough to make our stay here unforgettable. Apart from all this, the home is sparkling clean, the beauty of the surrounding nature is stunning and Samobor is a magnificent fairy tale little village!
The location of the hotel was superb. Located just a 1 minute walk from the main square, you couldnt ask for more. Moreover, it also has private parking on site, which was a big benefit. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. The building itself is a little historical, but because of this maybe a little outdated. Our room had a great view of the old wooden bridge.
Hostess Gabi is amazing and we had a really pleasant conversation about life in general and also what Samobor has to offer. You get a PIN code to enter the premises so don't worry about uninvited guests. Showers have good pressure and the water is hot. Toilet paper rolls and paper tissues for drying your hands are checked regularly to make sure that they are always there.
Great location, just 10 minutes walk from the city center through beautiful Samobor. The room was clean and really comfortable. Self check in is fabulous. The host was answering all our questions by WhatsApp and she recommended us good places to visit and we enjoyed Samobor a lot. She also allowed us to stay parked on the property until 14h! We will be back. Thank you 💕
The location is great, almost right next to the city centre of samobor and 35mins or so by car to Zagreb.
The reserved parking spot was very nice and practical as parkiing without would've been quite difficult.
Beds are comfy and I liked the pillows.
Everything was nice and clean and plenty of extra towels.
The shower was also nice.
Fabulous location, just around the corner from the bustling town square, but lovely and quiet hotel for a nice long weekend. Pleasant staff, great breakfast. The restaurant was excellent and the waiters looked after us. Clearly very popular with the locals. The room was traditional but immaculately clean. Would love to return one day.
It’s a small Studio with everything you need for a stay for one night…it’s nearby the motorway but very quiet! you can park your car right in front of the accommodation for free…the Misses who owns the studio is super friendly and kind….nearby, about 10 minutes walk, there are plenty of restaurants in the beautiful city of samobor!
The place was spotless clean, beautifully furnished almost as a boutique hotel. All facilities, for a comfortable stay, were available. From a fully equipped kitchen to a large array of cleaning products, countless bath towels, candles and wine and sweets and a full fridge for a marvellous breakfast.
Location was great. Beautiful to sit on the balcony looking over the hills and castle. Good sized apartment and an easy 5 minute stroll into the centre of Samobor. We stayed on our last night in Croatia and it was only 30mins to the airport. Would definitely recommend.
The apartment is at a good location in a quit neighborhood and within walking minutes from Samobor city center. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and with high quality furniture. Host Sandra and Ivan are super friendly and very helpful.
Prelepa kuća u prelepom gradu i preljubazna gospođa Ivanka. Opremljeno, udobno, prostrano, čisto. O lepoti Samobora i ljubaznosti stanovnika imam samo reči hvale. Mir, čist vazduh, prelepa priroda, osećaj sigurnosti i dobrodošlice. Veliko hvala 😊
Loved the location and the comfort of this flat.
We stayed here twice while in Samobor- returning because the place and the hosts were so wonderful.
Backing onto the River, it’s a very beautiful backdrop.
The location is great, in the center of the city. The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Good value for money when staying in the hotel.
Location is perfect, just a 2 minutes drive from city Samobor, 25 minutes drive to Zagreb. The house is situated on a hill , we enjoyed wonderfull views to surroundings .
