La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as it's really just a port town that you stay before going to the islands. The food was great. Kayaking was fantastic. Las Hamacus hotel and Apart Pico Bonito hotel were both great places to stay. I would not recommend staying at the Omega Eco Jungle Tours Resort. The hospitality was terrible and the pool did not work.

The location is beautiful, stunning mountain views, lovely pool, kitchen to use, beer to buy, comfy beds, good wifi, warm showers, amazing rafting tour. Stay for as long as possible!

Outside you have tables and hammocks It’s close to the sea, close to the centre and the market, not far from the ferries to Utila and Roatan, and in the safest area of La Ceiba. Don’t skip Ceiba because there are nice things to see, specially street art.

Not far from my usual hotel but is a private apartment experience. Very close to city center and the ocean. I will also stay with family or friends but a Villas del Mar is a more comfortable private option. So... go grocery shopping and enjoy your stay.
