Clever conversion of an old Maniot tower, providing all necessary conveniences and retaining the individual character of the building. Two outside terraces, and a roof terrace, which was a wonderful place to sit with a glass of wine at night, watching the stars and the lights of ships out at sea. It was a fascinating place to stay, in the heart of one of the old 'tower' villages, well placed to visit other villages and Cape Taenaron. One taverna in the village -- very friendly, with traditional Greek food -- but no shops.
