A small seaside resort set along a promenade in front of the beach. Sand is gritty and pebble in some places, water very clear and clean. We stayed on Papa Nero beach which is a bit quieter than the main Agios Ioannis beach but the two are joined by a promenade and foot bridge. There are plenty of choices for seafront restaurants and cafes. This would suit those looking for a relaxing break, and you can also walk to Damouchari where Mama Mia was filmed.

This is the best location if you want to explore the area of Pylio during summer. It is in the middle so you can visit all the important places, both sea and mountain, within a short period of time.
