Elena and Nikos were very gracious hosts and available whenever there was a need or concern. Upon my arrival they were there to greet me and Elena had even baked me a delicious cake and put fresh fruit out for me. I was the first guest of the year (visiting in April) and, as such, there were a few minor issues with the readiness of the apartments. However, the hosts were very quick to take care of anything I brought to their attention. I found the apartment to be charming and the decor lovely. Also, anything I needed (supermarket, restaurants, etc.) was within walking distance.

The family-run Elena Apartments is located right in the center of Almyrida village of Crete and just opposite from the beach. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers self-catered accommodations with views over the Cretan Sea or the garden. Free WiFi access is provided. Fitted with orthopedic mattresses and pillows, the air-conditioned studios of Elena are simply decorated with wooden furnishings and they all open up to a private balcony. Featuring a kitchenette with a dining area, each unit comes with a fridge, cooking hobs and an LCD satellite TV. Private bathroom is stocked with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Elena Apartments is located 13 mi from the scenic Chania Town and 19 mi from Chania International Airport. The harbor of Souda is at 8.7 mi, while guests will find a variety of restaurants, shops and supermarkets in just a short walk from the property. Free private parking is possible on site.
