To be honest-it' just for hardcore travellers or backpackers yet. It's not an easy destination, they still need to improve in many ways. The people are very kind - but they are poor. There is rubbish everywhere - Sad to see it. But they are working on it, more and more attracions open every year for you to discover. The mountains are beautyful. If you don't expect too much, please support Georgia with your travel and money.

Great place especially the bridge & restaurants by the river .. 160 km away Uplistsikhe Cave Town is a must if travelling between TBILISI & KUTAISI. Food and restaurants are excellent in both. Ambience is great.
The flat is new and very well equipped with spacious lounge. Very secure with courtyard and gate and quiet. Lovely people.
Very good place to chill out in. We were a couple and a Lady friend. Thank you. We were only there 2 days but will return.

The city is nice, but to be honest after time I regret that we did not went first to Batumi or Tibilisi. For me personally, this city is good but for 1 or max. 2 days of sightseeing, after more time I would get bored. The city is very old, sometimes you can feel that it is still not so adapted to the tourism. Nice place for people that are facinated about history and old buildings. Maybe in the summer it has more to offer. We went in March when there was nothing much to do.

To see:
To see:
Prometheus Cave (it is not as touristy as the negative reviews I read, and most of the caves are lit by white light with some colored lights so you see the natural rock colors - it is awesome, the size and formations)
Motsameta Monastery (beautiful, small, on a mountain with a frescoed church and views of more of the Caucasus and river...I heard Gelati is great too but did not see it)
Bagrati's Cathedral and the surrounding ruins, including kvevrebi (clay wine jars in the ground)
Kutaisi Botanical Garden (Bagrati is on the way to this, depending on where you stay), 5 lari admission fee (bring small bills - I found out not everyone has change for 100 lari)...beautiful and with an Orthodox shrine in a tree!
Bukioti (small, colorful cafe with cacao and of course coffee, tea, hot chocolate, as well as achma (a type of khachapuri made with puff pastry) and the best desserts (lava cake, apple dessert which is an air-fried apple filled with nuts and raisins, both topped with vanilla ice cream, and others)
El Paso restaurant - good khinkali
Kolkha Fountain that is in the city center (gold-toned animals with 2 horses on top and a lit in different colors at night)

Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people.
Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people. The food was amazing. We went during the winter so the snow was great and everything was running smoothly. Most of the places to visit are at most 1 hour away. Would recommend to go with the local tour guide rather than driving yourself just because the streets and signals are not clear for a foreigner. Food and ticket entries are very affordable. For a trip for a family of 5 people, we did not waste more than 1000 euros

The journey to Kutaisi is like a journey to the past.
The journey to Kutaisi is like a journey to the past. It is nice to see wild world, wild city like Kutaisi. Everything goes slow (apart from road traffic) and food smells and tastes so good.
Go to Kutaisi and feel it yourself!
Stayed here with two of my friends before flying out of Kutaisi. I wished we had spent more nights here as the view is very beautiful it is by the Rioni river. We had a balcony as well in our room so it was perfect to have coffee on it in the morning. Elsa was a very kind and communicative hostess. She helped us with anything we wanted. I also loved that the room we booked had plastic slippers for us to use. The location is also very near the city centre. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Kutaisi, definitely pick Gantiadi Hotel.
This hotel exceeded my expectations- very stylish with a lot of personality, vintage furniture, nice decor. Also an amazing garden with fruit trees and a swing. The bed in a double room is huge and super comfy. Toilet is very good, with a powerful shower. But the best part was breakfast- the most delicious home made crepes with home made strawberry jam, fluffy omelette and a REAL coffee (not an instant one like in other places). They also offered to print our tickets free of charge and arrange transfer to the airport for a good price.
Couldn’t imagine a better booking stay in Kutaisi! It was beyond our expectations - Nino and her family is extremely welcoming and makes you feel as at home. The view from the balcony is amazing and the property is so near the centre. We hadn’t have much time in Kutaisi, so it was incredibly convenient to get a shuttle from and to the airport, be offered delicious local snacks (and wine of course;) and a tour with a lot of stories about Kutaisi’s sightseeing. Definitely will come back!💙
I had a wonderful time in Kutaisi thanks to Mari and her daughter Tuti, who made me feel really welcome, and they offer a truly unique experience by sharing their Georgian history as well as their own family history in a most generous way. They also treated me to all kinds of delightful homemade delicacies, and they really make you feel like a family member. I usually stay at hotels, but I saw this on Bookings and was intrigued and I’m glad I booked this. I’d love to visit again!
There location is next to bridge (they have small entrance but it didn't matter) Very new property, You can cook for your food they have complete kitchen utensils near to main city and supermarket and kutaisi market and nice people, they are offering pick up and drop off from kutaisi airport which is very cheap almost same in taxi fare. Thank you Kakak! Very Nice people you should stay in this hotel 🙏

The hotel is easily reachable by foot from Kutaisi touristic centre. Close to restaurants. We stayed for one night before our morning flight and were very pleased with our stay. We stayed in room Nr 5. The bathroom was niccely newly renovated, the room was big and the bed was comfy. The hotel has its character. We have not tried the breakfast. We booked a convenient airport transfer at reasonable price. The hotel staff was friendly.
We arrived at midnight and the whole area is a bit "up and coming". The city is very small and the hotel is closer to the airport then to center of the city. However, the room was very clean, the host was super friendly. The whole place felt very homie. The breakfast provided by the host was 10 course meal home made fresh by his wife. again super friendly, very tasty. Best breakfast we had during our week in Georgia.
The hotel is located only 5 mins away from the city center and close to Railway station.Very clean place, could not explore much of their facilities since we stayed only for 1 night but the front desk staff are extremely helpful and informative. They guide you with extreme patience especially if you are new to the city. I would definitely come back and stay at the same place if I ever visit Kutaisi in future.
Amazing rooms and hospitality, the owners are very kind and welcoming made us feel at home. The hotel is a walking distance from the beautiful botanical garden which I recommend you visit and it’s close to Kutaisi center. Very clean and spacious rooms with garden view, the veranda has a nice view as well. Make sure to try their delicious healthy breakfast.
A great place to stay if you need to travel the next day from Kutaisi airport. Clean and spacious. It only has two rooms and a large shared kitchen and dining area, with private bathrooms. It was very quiet and since it was only two rooms onsite, it had a lot of privacy. One of the better stays that I had in Georgia.
We love the location of the hostel, cozy and very clean, everything you need is there, the price is worth the stay and Host Levani is super accommodating and even booked us taxi to the airport at 4am. Highly recommended hostel in Kutaisi. We will surely booked Hostel Look when we go back. Thank you Levani!
Its a lovely cottage style hotel with all the amenities. It is managed by the owner who is a wonderful n jolly person. He personally looks after his customer's comfort. Highly recommend for a quiet stay with an amazing hospitality by its owner. Its near to Kutaisi International Airport, only 20 mins drive.
Excellent location - close to the airport with one free ride to it (about 10 minutes). The driver was waiting for me with a sign with my name in the arrivals lobby. Staff of the hotel was very nice and helpful. Room comfortable with all needed amenities. I highly recommend to stay here to all travellers.
It is very clean hotel with very nice garden and extremely convenient location especially when travelling to or from Kutaisi airport and flight is either very early or arrival is too late. Even without this it is a pleasant stay in affordable price . Receptionist was very friendly and polite
The hotel is walking distance to the central location. Staffs are all helpful and the service provided is exceptional. We had our early morning flight and they prepared us a sandwich that we can bring to the airport. They also have a rooftop bar with a nice ambiance to chill and relax.
The price, the location were very advantageous.
Exchange houses were a few meters away and a microbus station was just below.
The staff was very helpful at any time during the day and night. Even drove me from Kutaisi airport to the hotel late at night, God bless them!
I recommend!
This is our second time staying at this hotel, so we knew what to expect. Special thanks for arranging the taxi and providing breakfast to go to the airport.
