Nato is an amazing hostess - she is extremely welcoming and helpful and made this such an enjoyable stay. Evening wine sampling is a great way to meet other lovely travelers that are attracted to this hostel. Can’t beat the location. Highly recommend. FYI, the tour is great but recommend sampling wine at all wineries - and the lake is missable.

My friends and I stayed here 10 years ago. We were so excited go back to see Nato and her family. Sadly Nato’s father(Lado) passed away. It was a big joy to meet energetic Nato again. Her sweet 2 daughters are grown up now and became even more beautiful. Nato’s mom and her husband are kind and warm hearted just same as 10 years ago. What a nice family!! It’s located in a quiet area and very near to the center. To have a breakfast in balcony and make a toast during wine party are memorable moments. We will definitely go back Nato’s house for our next visit.

The hospitality was top-notch. The best hostel I’ve ever stayed. Nato - the host, and her daughters were super helpful, friendly and kind. We got free chacha and homemade wine from them. The hostel vibe made me feel like home. We had a balcony and a courtyard so that we could hang out with other fellow travellers. The hostel was fully decorated with postcards, flags, presents from guests all around the world - which is awesome!

Nato, the daughters, and the whole family are very lovely people. The grandma was very sociable and despite communication hindrance, was still humorous and welcoming. You truly feel like you are visiting some old friends there, so not a regular "guest house" experience. Nato poured everybody drinks and made us feel at home by slicing up a watermelon and offering them to us. The pinnacle of the trip was the wine tour as it was best value for money. Her husband was also very warm and friendly and we had quite a blast throughout the day tour, playing nice Georgian songs and talking about his old memories. We even realized we had words in common and some cultural similarities during the excursion. Don't miss out on this if you want a relatively genuine Georgian family lifestyle experience. Nato even gave us a ride to the bus stop when our trip came to its end, super sweet!

This is a wonderful guesthouse! Nato is a fantastic host - so friendly and helpful, she is a delight - and she makes delicious wine which she kindly shares with guests. The rooms are comfortable clean, and the roof top terrace is such a nice place to sit and relax. It is a easy walk to everywhere in town.

What a lovely place! Nato and Lado guesthouse is the place you feel most welcomed. Everyone greets you with a big smile, congac, and watermelon. Nato is a lovely host who offers all the kindness imaginable and even goes out of her way to ensure you have a good stay. The grandma is sweet and professional, an independent woman who runs the business. I’ve traveled a lot in Georgia, and I should say the hospitality I saw in this guesthouse is a whole new level. Nato & Lado was probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Great rooms, really laid back and comfortable shared space and Nato and her family are INCREDIBLE! They offered me wine and brandy on check in, wanted to sit down and chat and invite other guests to sit and connect as well. Her daughters were helping out while on summer break both of whom were really welcoming and interesting to talk to. And the wine tour her husband leads was also incredible, one of my favorite days in Georgia.
