Stayed here for the location and glad we did. This historic building houses a welcoming pub and delicious breakfast. Check-in was easy and the room was clean, even in this historic building. Abernethy is a nice place to walk around. All the shops were friendly.

The room was lovely and clean, as was the hotel on the whole, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and there were options for myself as a vegetarian, although it was essentially just cereal/granola and toast but I was content with that. The location was perfect for what I needed. Parking was available.

The location is good to get away from towns/cities. It suited us, as close to family we were visiting. It was very relaxing in the hotel. The only slight issue was the danger of the road crossing from car park, as traffic is deceivingly fast there.

We stayed 1 night for Hogmanay. The hotel staff were great. Very attentive and saw we had everything we needed. The food was really good for a small hotel and given the number of people at the Hogmanay dinner, quality excellent. Quick, efficient service with a smile. Breakfast was fresh and good quality. Portions at meals were generous and options suited us perfectly. My only wish was that the decor in the bedrooms could be brighter. Fresher. The cleanliness was excellent/faultless. The decor was just dated. However everyone’s taste is different.

Great location. Extremely comfortable, immaculately clean. Generous complementary tray, delicious biscuits, chocolate and fruit. Enormous breakfast. Cannot fault it. Heather and Ric very welcoming and Eliza charming. Will return as there are many quiet cycling roads to explore.

My wife and I were in the main building and the room was clean and comfortable and large. Her Mother was in the modern annexe and the corridor to this was cold but the room OK. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and fast service even on Sunday when the hotel was more full. We ate in the restaurant once and the food was very good. Owner, who only purchased the property four years ago, was welcoming and showed us to our room. I think the hotel may still be a work in progress as the bedroom was rather tired although spotlessly clean with white bedding and fluffy towels. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent and the serving staff could not do enough for us. We will return.

Glenfarg Reservoir very close and quiet nearby. Loved the outdoor bbq and playing the board games and cards provided at night. Good to be off the grid without WiFi but glad I brought my cd player for a bit of music.
