Breakfast was OK but had better. Bacon seemed to have been cooked rolled up, so some was too crispy other half under cooked, eggs over cooked like mine to be runny.

    Marsden was lovely, beautiful surroundings.

Marsden was lovely, beautiful surroundings. However, we struggled to find a cafe/eaterie with decent vegan options anywhere. It would be nice to find a nice place that caters for everyone. Outdoor swimming not far away.

situated between Marsden and Slaithwaite it was a nice 20 min walk to either village to explore and have food and drinks. A path at the back of the property leads straight up to the moors for hiking. the property itself was lovely, clean and had all the facilities you would want. comfy bed, dining table, sofa and good sized bathroom. the balcony had sun and lovely views. hosts were great and gave us suggestions of places to go. would recommend and stay again our dog also loved it!

Stone Eater is a fine base for activities in the Huddersfield Marsden are of West Yorkshire, especially walks around the Pennines, natural history and the social life and engineering history of the 1750's to late 20th Century.
