Cupar is ideally placed to travel around Fife..

Cupar is ideally placed to travel around Fife.. We mainly visited St Andrews as our great nephew was attending the university. We dined in St Andrews for all our meals so we cannot say anything about dining in Cupar. There seems to be plenty of choice when venturing around as to what and where to eat should suit many a healthy appetite.

This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host.

This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host. The rooms are all on the ground floor, lovely and very comfortable and overlooking the garden which is several hundred metres from the road down a private lane. This is a high standard b&b and the best accomodation I have stayed in when staying in the fife area.

This is a small town with big personality. Fantastic restaurant, ( courtyard, no 10). Lovely independent shops. Fascinating architecture. And so near to many lovely places: Teases gardens, Kelly Castle, Falkland Palace, Pittenween coastal town, Ely beach.

Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century..

Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century.. An excellent and authentic example of Scottish tradition in particular around the area where Cupar Burgh Chambers is located. Visit the museum next to Cupar Station. Crossgate is it's main axial road and has everything you need. Fisher and Donaldson have two bakeries in the town - a small one in Crossgate and a tea room next to the large Tesco. Try their stovies, fudge doughnut or a marzipan fruit or Belgian biscuit but lot's more!! A wonderful base for exploring the beautiful Fife countryside with it's quaint villages and St Andrew's itself - get a bus and try some whiskies there!!" The Fife Folk Museum in the nearby village of Cerus is very interesting and has a tea room. The Deer Park a must go to venue with lots to do and see for all ages.

Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals.

Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals. Convenient for St Andrews and the East Neuk. I enjoyed my dinner at 'The Press' (venison and smoked Applewood lasagne) and lunch the next day at Fisher and Donaldson (stovies).

Perfect Scottish cooked breakfast freshly prepared by Gillie as we ate our cereal, she then withdrew to leave us alone, but was willing to chat as well Timed breakfast so we did not clash with other guests for good infection prevention Wide variety of garden birds to look at Quiet location with very clean tidy rooms and en-suites, property is detached with good private parking in the grounds We ate out at Aangan in nearby Cupar for a family reunion, food was delicious there but Gillie has other good recommendations for dinner too

Easy access from all roads into Cupar. Easy to find. Owner arranged for key to be available for arrival. On-road parking outside, charges apply only 8.30 - 17.30, and free parking during day in nearby street. Owner lives offsite, but contact tel. no. provided. No cooking facilities, but decent cafe next to property. Town centre less than 5 mins walk. Good, but quite small, pub restauranr 2 mins away. Room may be a bit small for some, but ideal for me......comfortable bed, TV, plenty of hot water, good CH radiators.

The apartment is one street back from the main road thru Cupar so is very quite. It is beautifully appointed and styled, and is very comfortable. The bathroom is lovely and functional. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The parking space is up on the kerb just off the roadway outside the apartment, so works well.
