I loved the people in this place so helpful and friendly, Recommend two cafes for a fantastic breakfast, The Kings Coffee and The Hog and Bean. There are lots of charity shops and quirky shops to look around and a very popular bakery. On a Saturday there is a market. There is also a castle but unfortunately we didn't get round to visiting.

Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot.

Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot. Lots of independent shops, but there are two big supermarkets too. Lots of cafes! Interesting history very well described on clear tourist information boards along the seafront. Beware midweek in low season as most of the museums and both the castles are only open at weekends. That said, the coastal path is delightful and I spent my time (two weekdays in November) happily walking by the sea even though the attractions weren't open. Excellent public library with good local history section too.

    Great place to stay.

Great place to stay. We really enjoyed having walks along the seafront and along the pier. Seafront pubs are great. Visit the Port Arms and Kings Head. The August Bank Holiday Weekend Food & Drink Festival was a great place to listen to the live music and have a relaxing arvo. Good Chinese, and Indian takeaways plus Fish & Chips near the seafront. Easy trip to Sandwich Bay for low tide walks to check out the shipwrecks and B17 bomber remains.

The parking price was rather expensive and parking space are hard to find if you didn’t get there early enough. Still has lots of lovely pubs on the front fish and chips seafood stall and lots of little shops . We felt safe walking around at night it was lovely and peaceful. Nearly forgot there’s a big church which does a lovely breakfast and looks like lovely food also for lunch and there’s a little club or pub sitting on the side of it looks like they’ve made good use of a What looks like a church and a market on a Saturday to walk around.

Deal it’s self is a very clean and tidy place, there are some great choices of food restaurants and some good shops to treat yourselves, especially like walking along the pier and going to the castle for our young son. Would definitely be returning

The Old Rectory is a magnificent property which is situated just outside Deal. It is in a very good location for travelling around the Kent countryside and coastal areas and provided us with an excellent base from which to explore the area. We were made very welcome by our host, Helga, who showed us to our fabulous room with its own access in the grounds. A fabulous freshly cooked breakfast was provided, together with assorted fruit and cereal options, and nothing seemed too much trouble for our very pleasant host.

Fantastic location and not the first time we've stayed at Dunkerley's - we love the restaurant and bar and fact it's right on the seafront. Really enjoyed our full English breakfast there, was cooked and presented really nicely and was good produce too. The room was a nice size and immaculately clean. Deal as a town is fantastic too - lots of lovely bars, pubs and restaurants, the local market on a Saturday is a must-visit too and it's a great base for exploring other parts of Kent in a close proximity.

My husband & I recently moved to England and needed a place to stay, while we found housing, car etc. The Anne Boylne escape was the perfect choice. The room was spacious, immaculate, bed was beautifully fitted with fabulous bedding. Our bedding, towels, etc was changed often. The owners, Vivian & Barry were ever so helpful during our 14 day stay. They made sure we were comfortable and looked after us very well. Highly recommend! The sea view was absolutely amazing, this hotel is very well located and not far from the train station. The bed was comfortable and there was enough space in the bedroom. The price to stay at Waterfront hotel was very affordable. The staff was overall friendly and professional. We really appreciated to be able to leave our bags at the hotel after our check-out as our train was only later in the day, so we did not have to carry our bags all day.

The hotel is situated opposite to Deal pier, and is quite close to the station as well, just a 6-7 mins walk. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the radiator was hot enough to keep me warm during an exceptionally cold weekend. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Cleanliness and room amenities were top class. It is definitely worth the price and I will come back to stay during the more pleasant summer times.

A great boutique hotel, lovely rooms and garden terrace. The staff were amazing, we had dinner in the restaurant and some of our friends had some food intolerance requests. The staff could not be more helpful and the food was delicious all round. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay for dinner. Thank you for looking after us
