This Grand Old Dame of English seaside hotels is in sparkling condition throughout. She is not cheap - but she is an excellent hostess and she will fulfil your every wish if you let her. Some may find her old fashioned - but that is a major part of her charm. From Martinis in the afternoon to sunsets over the sea in the evening, she has everything you need for a relaxing weekend. The sound of the waves playing us to sleep at through an open window was an added bonus!

Sitting on the Regency seafront with wonderful sea views, The Belmont Hotel is one of Sidmouth's popular 4-star hotels. It is a short level walk from the town center. The Belmont has private manicured gardens and a terrace for drinks or lunches close to the sea. The bar, lounges and most bedrooms also have exceptional sea views, and guests find them warm and comfortable. Belmont Restaurant has a modern English menu and friendly and efficient staff. Horizon Restaurant offers customers a more informal dining experience. Free leisure facilities, including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and spa area, are available at the Belmont's adjacent sister hotel. Sidmouth is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is part of the Jurassic Coast. The cliffs at Sidmouth are famous for their geological features and fossils. A short drive away is Exeter, with its cathedral and new shopping center, Princesshay.

Please note: Due to the complete renovation of the spa at our sister hotel, The Victoria, there will be no indoor leisure facilities available from mid-October 2023 until completion, which is expected in spring 2024.
Phase one of our sister hotel's exciting Source Spa refurbishment has been completed, and there is no longer a snooker room at the Victoria Hotel. The next phase, which will start mid-October, will see a complete transformation of their indoor pool area with a new spa bath, treatment rooms, sauna, steam room, gym and relaxation area. Rest assured final dates will be posted on our website and social media, and guests will be contacted prior to arrival.
