A gem of a city, and a secret that now the people of Edinburgh are cottoning onto. It's got a beautiful Heritage Quarter with loads of trendy bars, cafes and restaurants. Fantastic old buildings, a huge amount of history and one of the most beautiful parks in the world - Pittencrieff Park - is glorious. It really is like a mini-Edinburgh without the fuss and crowds, and such a lovely place to hang out.

We travelled to visit Knockhill Racing Circuit for a booked experience day.
Arrived on a lovely sunny day so decided to visit Pittencrief park on our way to the hotel (Adamson Hotel in crossford) where we had a great walk around the park and encountered many of the beautiful sights including the squirrels.
All in all a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back at some point in the (hopefully not too distant) future

the town is compact and the centre has all the shops you might need and plenty of places to eat
there is a lot of history to the place and if youve never been there is plenty to take in
road access is good from the m90 and parking is easy
its also just a short train journey to either Glasgow or Edinburgh
Inadvertently, I had not reserved an accessible room, so our first night was difficult. When I spoke to the manager about this (Charlie) he and his team were exceptionally helpful, and ensured we were moved to a room which had disabled facilities.
This is the second time we have stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Dunfermline, and both times we have been very happy. We will continue to use the hotel whenever we visit Edinburgh.
small village Inn that is operated by amazing, personable and friendly people. They have a great little pub and restaurant. The food at the restaurant was superb!
There is a bus stop literally 50 feet from the Inn that will take you to Dunfermline for £2. The Abby and the Andrew Carnegie museum are an absolute MUST VISIT while in the area! The Inn at Charlestown is a very charming place that I would definitely recommend!
The hotel was spotless, the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Anna who’s meet and greet at breakfast made us feel valued. The breakfast was lovely, loads to choose from, our room was big, airy & spotless with a good size en-suite also spotless. Lovely location, we got the train into Edinburgh from Dunfermline where we could park and ride which was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
We stayed in a lovely, great sized family room. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Truly wonderful breakfast & the service in the breakfast room was excellent. Bar staff were also very friendly. Excellent hotel and will hopefully stay there next year, when the England v Scotland bowls charity international, takes place again in Dunfermline.
Loved the Hotel and restaurant. Spacious room and for £20 more with Hotel booking got big breakfast. Dinner was great here too. Super friendly staff. Would deffinatly stay there again if we ever go back to Dunfermline. Close enough location to the Abby where my 21x 22x and 24x ggf King Robert the Bruce is buried. Great little town to visit for sure.
After an overnight flight we needed a place to sleep & get somewhat adjusted to the new time zone. Marston's Inn at Dunfermline met our needs. The room was great with a very comfortable bed. Should we again find ourselves in the Dunfermline area & need accommodations, Marston's will be our first choice.
The staff made the stay really good. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. And the bed was one of the comfiest I've ever had in a hotel. It was also very central, great for sightseeing in Dunfermline and I didn't hear a single sound from the bar or restaurant which was right beside my room.
The apartment is good if you stay one or two nights. Well located near the city centre of Dunfermline (small town with a lot of story and important buildings) and also close to bus and train station that takes you to Edinburgh centre
The food arrived quickly after ordering, the staff were friendly, attentive but intrusive. The breakfast offered many options & a dairy free milk option. Although the hotel is located on a main there was no road noise in the rooms.
The food was delicious, an excellent menu, and the staff all very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable with good facilities. I received information about Dunfermline and travel arrangements. Thank you Citty Hotel.
Well appointed clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very helpful and efficient. Plenty of free parking. Close to Dunfermline and less than thirty minutes drive to Edinburgh airport. Will definitely use this hotel again.
We went for a room only budget option. This is budget hotel and we got pretty much what we expected. Somewhere to shower and lay one's head. Shower, bed and room very clean. Absolutely no complaints.
Dinner was fantastic.
After staying at another popular hotel in Dunfermline has highlighted just how great this place is and how wonderful and helpful the staff are. Cannot recommend enough
the room was massive and the bedding, towels were top quality. The staff were pleasant, polite and very helpful. would make this our top choice of hotel next time we are in Dunfermline
Very comfortable and clean accommodation. The host is very welcoming and helpful. Good location close to a train station and with bus link to Dunfermline city centre.
