Wonderful location and excellent breakfast and dinner. Well trained staff. Dog friendly with a huge garden to walk around. We have since learnt that the hotel is closing and is up for sale, so things have been run down. Such a shame.

Rooms overlook the gardens, and have a TV, DVD player and a private bathroom. Traditional English cuisine is served in the elegant dining room, which features luxurious fabric lined walls and lovely views. The hotel focuses on local produce, and uses herbs from its own garden. Guests can choose from the Manor’s extensive range of whiskeys, wine, or enjoy afternoon tea and cakes in the library, lounge or on the patio. Just a few minutes’ drive away, the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant has traditional pubs and excellent shooting and fishing. Historic sites such as Highclere Castle are within 15 minutes’ driving distance.
