First of all, Theresa, she was so perfect about treating us. We felt like we are friends and family rather than visitors. The room and the bathroom was beyond clean. :) We fell in love with the details, from the complementary capsule coffees to the usb and electric outlets installed on the nightstand. Breakfast was delicious and fresh.

Large home with plenty of room. Exceptionally clean as well. Great location on the quiet side of town but still close to everything needed in town. The kitchen is fully equipped with what you need. The host was very helpful.

Set high above the village of Charlestown of Aberlour and overlooking the River Spey, this elegant country hotel is an ideal venue for shooting and fishing, and for whiskey-lovers.
To edit: The mile long tree lined High Street has an attractive square and village green and located right in the center of the Village is the Aberlour Hotel.

There is only 1 Bar in Dufftown and it’s basic but has a dart board but that’s your lot.now as others lost business to Covid. There’s an Indian which is average and take away which is basic. Advise to book places to eat in Aberlour to avoid disappointment. Whisky tours only accept online bookings.

The people were friendly.
The people were friendly. Unfortunately the tourist information office had been shut down. There were plenty of distilleries nearby if you had a car. There were good walking tracts if you had a medium level of fitness. There is only one pub as far as I know but I would recommend the restaurant as the food which was excellent.

Charming little town in the heart of whisky country!
Charming little town in the heart of whisky country! Glenfiddich Distillery with its excellent visitor facilities situated in the town and several other distilleries open to view in the locality. An interesting ruin, Balvenie Castle, to explore on the outskirts of the town. Dufftown also boasts its own heritage railway which is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful walks and lovely scenery around the town.

Only a few restaurants in and around town make sure you reserve ahead. If you plan on going to the distillery's or the Speyside cooperage also make sure you book ahead. Dufftown golf course is public and is nearby and will rent you decent clubs. Great course. ACE taxis if you had too much good Whisky.

We stayed for 8 nights during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival and the location was pretty central for many of the events. Lots of lovely places to visit during the day in the surrounding area.
Loved the Dufftown Glassworks, a little coffeeshop come art gallery, and the Seven Stills restaurant was extremely good for a special meal.
There are only three places left in Dufftown serving hot food in the evening - even the local chippie has closed down. The only cafe, The Coffee Pot, opens at 9am (10am at the weekend), which was too late for us for breakfast, and closes at 3pm, so we didn't use it during our visit. Everything else has closed down and there are no signs of any other businesses moving in to take their place. The only other option for an evening meal is to go further afield, and the buses stop running very early evening, so you have to either drive or take a cab. We were there for the whisky festival, so driving was obviously out of the question, and the taxi cabs were totally booked up (because it was the whisky festival...). We were fortunate that we had cooking facilities at our accommodation and could make do.
Pretty disappointed with the public transport. I believe that they put on extra services in previous years for the festival, but not this year. Even one single late bus would have been useful - on the biggest week of the year for tourism the last bus leaving Elgin for Dufftown was 6.35pm!

The town is beautiful and clean, but we couldn’t find a restaurant which was open at around 14:30 on a Tuesday after we finished our whiskey tour. None of the nearby castles were open. I’d avoid being there on a Monday or Tuesday as most restaurants only open on Wednesdays.
The photos do not do this place justice! Everything about this place is phenomenal! I wish we had stayed longer as this was my favorite stay from our 2 week trip through Scotland. The bathtub was glorious - my husband even took a bath! the decor is absolutely stunning and eclectic and the host took time to share about select pieces and history. Also the salmon and egg breakfast was TO DIE FOR. I am still thinking about it, 3 weeks later. Also happy to have purchased an art print from the host.
The location was great, lovely fantastic spacious room, spotlessly clean.
The host was friendly and very helpful, I slept so well I thought I was at home, the bed was very comfortable.
Great place to stay would highly recommend and would visit again.
To Make a point I work all over the UK and stay in many hotel's and B&B's and this is at the very top of places I have ever stayed in. 10/10
Andy was so welcoming and the property fabulously styled. The clawfoot bath was divine. The location is central, lovely for a walk, easy on-street parking and close to the Glenfiddich distillery. The dram in our room was a great idea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Little Robin in Dufftown, I am now obsessed with finding a little Red Robin of my own. :)
Theresa was a wonderful host, very fun and accommodating. The room had tea and coffee, and there was a lovely dram of scotch in the room! Great location for visiting Speyside distilleries and countryside. The private bathroom was external, but it was large and well appointed.
Very good B&B, run by a very nice couple. Breakfast was all you could wish for and both owners are doing everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The B&B is in the whiskey capital, Dufftown, and within walking distance of local services.
The house is in a great location near the center of town. The layout works well with the bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen had everything needed. The entire property was exceptionally clean. Parking at the front door was easy.
The cottage was lovely, cosy, and a good size for four of us. The location was fantastic. We had a great view of mountains but still very close to local distilleries and Dufftown. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
I've always been keen in visiting Dufftown and despite being a bit far from the other places I wanted to visit it was a lovely place to stay for the night. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Great value for the money.
Cannot fault the breakfast, especially the smoked salmon! Liked being able to borrow and watch DVD films in my room and the location in the middle of Dufftown was good for going out for a stroll around the area.
The whole house was fantastic and seemed a perfect location for a little vacation in the Speyside region. Walking distance to Dufftown. The hot tub worked perfect and we'd love to stay here again.
Excellent location at centre of Speyside whisky country. lovely staff, good welcome, friendly bar service, excellent breakfast. immediately alerted us when we left behind a book in our room.
Excellent breakfast, perfect location, superb owners. We feel very lucky to have found Gowanbrae for our stay in Dufftown. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing trip to the area.
Wonderful locations, very friendly host, great accommodations, this was the perfect place to stay for our holiday. Sue was so nice and breakfast was delicious.
