Christophe was very gracious as our anticipated evening arrival time got pushed back. We appreciated his welcome and the nice location on a narrow, winding old street in the historic heart of Tournus (with free parking just a short walk away at the Palais de Justice).
It was fun to wander the streets that evening and do takeout from Aux Saveurs d'Ailleurs, a Middle Eastern eatery (70 Rue de la République) owned by a friendly family. The next morning, we happened upon the Sunday flea market that stretched a good ways along the riverfront and offered a wonderful mix of treasures to explore (from household decor to records to children's toys to jewelry). Our Tournus visit was relatively short, but thoroughly enjoyable!
