This is by far the best holiday accommodation i have stayed in. It is an upstairs spacious property with large balcony for sundowner drinks. All the best self catering equipment in an architect rustic presentation but excellent livability and usability. It is an architectural masterpiece in retaining character but not compromising any living requirement. The owners provided many basic kitchen essentials.

The property is very deceiving from the front! The door opens onto a rustic and beautiful courtyard with an olive tree, like a magical secret. Our host Marlene was easy to contact and communicate with she met us at the property to welcome us and show us around. She was extremely helpful and advised us re: local tourist attractions and shops etc. on our first morning she delivered some fresh croissants and bread, on our arrival there there was milk and butter in the fridge along with a jar of home-made apricot jam. The gite was beautiful very quaint and rustic with all the mod-cons you need for an enjoyable stay. Sitting out on the balcony enjoying a glass of wine after a day spent sight seeing was really relaxing. There are steps up to the property see photo.

The property was excellent with much care and attention to everything, we made good use of the lovely open fire even though all the rooms had underfloor heating the fire made it nice and cosy in the February evenings. The kitchen was clearly designed by a cook with high spec equipment such as Siemens and Bosch. Meynes is a great location to explore the region.

This was our third stay at this charming apartment, part of a medieval building around a courtyard. It has been restored so lovingly and every room, nook and cranny is a delight: the kitchen is very well resourced making it a pleasure to cook in; the air conditioned bedroom is extremely stylish, comfortable to go to sleep and a pleasure to wake up in. The quirky shower room and dressing area are a fantastic use of space and the terrace is gorgeous, especially in the evening sunshine as the church bells ring. There is a bakery outside, a cafe/bar opposite, a pizzeria, an epicerie, a pharmacy and a bar tabac. There is also a super little municipal swimming pool a ten minute walk away. To us, English visitors, it’s simply a gem and easily the most beautiful place we have stayed at in France. Thank You!
