Our hosts, specially Bertrand, managed to make us feel at home away from home. We felt like we were visiting family rather than complete strangers. It help that they all could speak English (and even Spanish and Italian). We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and healthy, with home made bread and amazing tomatoes. We were lucky enough to get a tour with Bertrand and he showed us his gorgeous tomato plants, as well as his 'seed museum' :). I loved his generosity offering his knowledge and he got me into collecting tomato seeds ready for when I have a piece of land to start experimenting. The room is upstairs and we love the dedicated sitting area outside.

La Turone is a B&B set in a 19th-century farmhouse with a tree-lined garden, just 10 minutes from both the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau and the Château de Langeais. Fresh homemade bread is served for breakfast, and you can enjoy an aperitif on the terrace. With a private entrance, the guest room is decorated in a traditional style with wooden furniture. It features a flat-screen TV and the private bathroom has a shower. Breakfast is prepared every day and it can be taken in the dining room. Evening meals prepared by the hosts can also be enjoyed, upon prior reservation. After breakfast, you can relax in the communal areas while using the free Wi-Fi access. Chinon Forest is only 2133 feet from this B&B and free private parking is possible on site. Villandry Chateau and Chinon are located a 15-minute drive from from this property. The owner is also available to give you guided tours of the area, with an additional cost.
