The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and clean. The real surprise was the restaurant where we had a fine dinner, and the next day's breakfast was full of excellent choices.

Gorgeous town with lovely small streets, shops and cafes. Great whether visiting the abbey or not. This is a perfect place to stop on the route from south of France to Paris and we will stop here again next chance we have.

The Abbey, although largely a ruin is nonetheless remarkable and well worth a special trip to this small, historic town which is easy to walk around and has a lot of charm. The history is well explained in English as well as French and gives a good impression of the Abbey’s great past. We had a superb meal in the Potin Gourmand, with fine wines by the glass.

Terrific small town in Burgundy with a good selection of restaurants and amenities. I did not have time to properly explore some of the sights and the heritage of the town as my stay was en-route to my final destination. But I will return to spend more time at Cluny.

Visit the Abbey.
Visit the Abbey. Although mostly ruins its worth the €8 entry booked online. Children are free up to 18.
The pizza place (down the hill turn left) a couple of minutes walk away was excellent and good value for money.

The town of Cluny was a comfortable size to explore and find one's way around and was well served for bars and restaurants. The Abbey was simply awe-inspiring. The remaining, almost golden walls, testify to the vast scale and importance of Cluny through so many centuries. I found the wooden models in the Abbey itself very helpful in visualising the lay out of the buildings and would thoroughly recommend a visit.
Right in the middle of pitoresque Cluny, more or less on the ruins of the old monastery/cathedral, and in a beautiful old stone house with a pretty garden. A private garage, locked during night time, and walking distance to all the restaurants in the town. A 20 minute car drive to the fantastic wineyards of Poilly-Fuissée just outside of Macon, and a perfect start if driving further north to the other areas of Bourgogne. Spatious and rooms with nice wiews, and the nicest people working in the hotel.
The breakfast was standard French continental, but that was as expected. It was a little way outside Cluny itself - easily walkable in principle, but unlit after dark. The view across the fields to the Abbey and the Burgundy hills was idyllic, but a little restricted from the bedroom itself. The Saint Lazare suite we had was beautifully furnished, and very reasonably priced. The on-site proprietors were very friendly and spoke very clear French.
This was an exceptional stay here in Cluny. Literally it is steps away from the museum of the Portes des Honneurs. An exquisite blend of modern and refined textures with the old, this was a beautiful refuge for us, as we had been travelling for days. Cathy was a super nice hostess. She was waiting for us and greeted us outside as I wasn't sure where I was.

It's a simple establishment but was perfectly comfortable and has an absolutely wonderful restaurant. Our dog was grumpy and barked at the lady owner in the dining room, but she was unfazed and didn't get angry. We put the dog in our room after that as the dining is quite formal. Really enjoyed our stopover and Cluny is lovely!
Spectacular location right next to the site of the historic Cluny Abbey. Beautiful, gentile hotel with amazing staff, who were very helpful in finding dinner locations/reservations. Comfortable rooms/beds. Lovely breakfast looking out at the abbey. Convenient and accessible parking on site. We loved it here.
Very comfortable motel-style hotel just a short stroll from the centre of the town. Clean and comfortable and good value. We needed an electric fan as it was extremely hot during our stay and the manager provided one immediately. Good parking. Very popular with cyclists and walking groups.
Lovely location just outside Cluny, peaceful, rural setting. Ideal for cyclists, just 200 metres off the Voie Vert track to Macon, Cluny, Taizé etc.
Lovely warm welcome from the proprietors, nice breakfast, home made apricot jam.
Very friendly young kitten dancing round the main house!
We loved beautiful Cluny and it was nice that we could access the centre from our hotel. We arrived by bike & they secured a room for us to park them inside the hotel. We strongly recommend the hotel. The restaurant was very busy but we did not eat there as we had made other plans.

All original charm of the hotel still there, with wonderful beamed plafonds à la française, but freshly decorated rooms and air conditioning, along with comfortable beds and a generous breakfast, with kindly staff, made ours an excellent stay.
Very comfortable room in an old house full of character and beautifully decorated. Breakfast outside at the terrace was excellent. The host welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The location is perfect for a visit to the Abbey of Cluny.

The size, character and decor, all kinds of fascinating ornaments.Great central location in Cluny but very peaceful. A very generous host. We felt very at home.
