It is best known as the home and resting place of former President of France, General Charles de Gaulle. The museum and La Boisserie are most interesting and well worth visiting. The surrounding rolling countryside is beautiful.
The 2 restaurants for evening meals in the village are excellent.
Maison et Tartine which is open for breakfast and lunches is also excellent.
The Champagne establishment owned and run by Christian Peligri is also interesting and has excellent products at reasonable prices.

Really friendly hotel.
Really friendly hotel. Good food and for us with a dog a big bedroom. Swimming pool was heated and clean and staff were more than friendly. A good place to visit a historic site or just relax. The village is clean and welcoming too.

A charming quiet village, not too far from the motorway, with of course, the De Gaulle memorial overlooking the village. The village is in the champagne area and produces a lot of excellent champagne.

Good location for stop, as travelling back north.
Good location for stop, as travelling back north. Several restaurants but not all open on a Thursday night. Interesting area and place of Charles de Gaulle monument. Great place to stay Maison and Tartine, also recommend La Grange du Relais for evening meal, as both places allow dogs.

We last stayed in Colombey les Deux Eglises (on our bicycles) in 1998, so it was a wonderful surprise to discover that the hotel had changed its name but here we were again - and in our old room! It was a real treat to enjoy all the comfort of a very spacious room and an amazing buffet breakfast that would set us up for the day.
An exceptionally comfortable and well appointed hotel. Our room (6) was perfectly decorated and all facilities were excellent. A very enjoyable dinner in the impressive restaurant. Like most guests, I imagine, we stayed here in order to visit the Charles de Gaulle museum, for which it is perfectly placed.
stunning suite , excellent value : I booked a hotel, my wife pointed out it had a Michelin star so dinner was not going to be cheap! We pushed the boat out. I enjoyed a whole lobster as a starter , the best I have ever eaten.
Breakfast was very good. Great coffee, lovely cereal baguette, attentive service, fantastic supper and the hotel has amazing position in the countryside with wonderful views from some of the rooms
love the vibe at the hotel, the decor of the room and throughout the hotel, the garden and the pool are fantastic! the restaurant and the breakfast have very nice quality food
