Citotel is a charming hotel-restaurant right on the edge of a forest, just outside the center of the city of Haguenau in the Alsace region of north-eastern France.

We liked everything. It was 3km off the motorway back to Uk after a week skiing in Kitzbuhel. The family accommodation is fab, we’ll designed as only the French tbh do family hotels, a very large central sitting area and lounge with a dormitory room with 3 single beds off one end and a large double bedroom the other. Bathroom with shower and corner bath. Perfect. The restaurant is wood panelled and very cosy and very Alsace. The menu is rich and reflects the region. No quarter is given to vegetarians or vegan attn seekers. It’s traditional and friendly and self regarding as all good Frenchies are. The hotels Great Dane is fab, friendly and grateful for all left overs and treats. A delight in every way and not even expensive.

We have only really discovered this place, as we stay at L'ours restaurant.
It looks very quaint and has the sleepy French vibe going on.
We fill our car up with cheap petrol at the super market here.
We booked this hotel halfway for a one night stay, because of the free parking and restaurant. Restaurant was surprisingly good (it has a different owner than the hotel but this is not an issue). Rooms were nice & bathroom very clean. Breakfast was fresh, not a huge variety but more than enough.
