We loved the fact that the villa is outside the noise and bustle of the village but within easy walking distance (although the path might be a little difficult for those with reduced mobility.) Helen, the host is friendly whilst not being intrusive.

The location of Villa Andalucia is truly unbeatable. The villa is situated on the hillside of Competa, providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the coast. Competa is a charming and unspoiled town, known for its traditional whitewashed houses, narrow cobbled streets, and vibrant local culture. There are plenty of things to do and see in the area. There are over 20 restaurants/bars in the village enjoy the wonderful cuisine. Explore the village: Take a leisurely walk through the charming streets and alleyways of the village, admiring the traditional Andalusian architecture, the whitewashed houses, and the colorful flower pots. Visit the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción: This 16th-century church is located in the heart of the village and features a baroque altarpiece and a beautiful bell tower. Taste the local wine: Competa is famous for its sweet wine, made from the Muscat grape variety. Visitors can sample the wine in any of the bars in the village. Hike in the Sierra de Tejeda: The natural park that surrounds Competa offers many hiking trails that range from easy to challenging.
