I really liked this hotel. Location is perfect, right across from the beach down the hill. View was superb from the front balcony where my room was. Very worthwhile to have a front view facing room. Staff is welcoming and very efficient. Comfortable bed, nice Nespresso maker in room, a welcome touch first thing in the morning. This hotel is close to everything within easy walking distance.

We didn't have breakfast at the Hostal, because we saw many places in the area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, we ate at some great restaurants, recommended by friends. But we found the hostal very charming. The location was perfect for a brief visit to Tarragona: we were in the heart of the historic area. And we found the city to be delightful, lively, and friendly. The medieval buildings and Roman ruins were stunning.

Tarragona is located on the sunny ‘Costa Daurada‘, in southern Catalonia. With an inheritance dating back to local tribes, Carthaginians and Romans, it is today a vibrant cultural and economic centre. Don’t miss the ‘human towers’ during Tarragona’s Santa Tecla Festival, but check your hotel availability for the area with enough time in advance.
The ‘human towers’ became so popular all across Catalonia that they can be visited throughout the year at the festival centre ‘Casa de la Festa’. Try the local seafood dishes in El Serrallo fishing district, and don’t miss the wines from the area.
The city was an important provincial capital during Roman times and includes several UNESCO World Heritage sites, with the seaside amphitheatre from the 2nd century being the most relevant. The 12th-century Cathedral of St Mary was built on the site of a former Jupiter temple and a Muslim mosque, and mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles.
Reus Airport is a few kilometres outside the city, while Barcelona El Prat Airport is 90 km away. Tarragona is located near Salou resort, and hotels in the area are also very popular. Whether you need a guest house in the historic centre or a resort on the beach, check out the Tarragona accommodation deals on Booking.com!
It was easy to walk around and see the sights. Tarragona was a very interesting city. I enjoyed seeing the Mediterranean Sea and the gardens near the old Roman Amphitheatre. I also enjoyed looking at the Roman Circus. We ate at the Forum Restaurant opposite hotel Place de la Font, in the old city square (i.e. Pllace de la Font) . The quality and service at the restaurant was outstanding.
Everything was wonderful, including the breakfasts at hotel de la Font, There is nothing that i would avoid.

Roman sites are interesting but not very well presented.
Roman sites are interesting but not very well presented. Cathedral area is very good. Archeology museum was closed for renovation and. so not much else to see. The town was rather run down and dirty. Parking was a nightmare. We went to Reus which was great - we did the Casa Modernista walk. Final day we went to Sitges and it was great but it was January. I'm sure it gets packed and crazy in summer.

I loved Tarragona.
I loved Tarragona. If you are interested in Roman and Medeival history this is the place for you. Many key Roman structures remain and with the medeival town built right on top of the Roman city, there is just so much history there. I was pleasantly surprised. Many excellent restaurants as well, lovely walking town too, including beachfront.

Loved the city, the sea front walk and beach, the old city, La Rambla, and the Roman ruins (especially the acqueduct). Great plazas, shops and restaurants and even a wine festival when we were there. Friendly locals. A relaxing, walkable town with lots of interesting history,

City well worth visiting.
City well worth visiting. 15Euros for seniors gets you into 5 attractions and they are all within walking distance of each other and spectacular in their own way. Love old town. Really pretty lit up at night. Visit the aqua duct before you leave too. Plenty of nice restaurants. We liked the ones in the squares away from main street

The range of food and beverage outlets in the ‘old town’ specifically was superb.
Favourite places ‘Twins’ craft beer and tapas bar and ‘Red Lab’ cocktails.
We visited, by accident, during the Festival of Santa Tecla. The atmosphere was incredible and there were events everywhere. Definitely recommend.
This apartment was great for visiting the old center of Tarragona. It is very climatic and cosy, located just one street from the Forum, 1 min. from a bus stop, 10 min walk from the beach (15 min when going back as you have to go uphill ;-)
The apartment is not new and fancy but clean and convenient. The host lady is very nice and freindly. She advised us al ot about the many attractions offered by the city, which made our stay even more memorable.
Beautiful sea views. The house and gardens are very well maintained and the holiday flat is really spacious. We particularly enjoyed the large and very well equipped kitchen and the big balcony.
The location of the property is fantastic as it is close to the beaches and only a short walk away from Tarragona's old town.
Thank you for the lovely stay! We also really appreciated the kind welcome gifts from the owner when we arrived.
In beautiful Tarragona for wedding and this hotel was perfect. The staff were fantastic, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was nice and big with huge comfortable bed, well lit and good bathroom with big shower. The views off the beach and the ocean was picturesque. Finally, the breakfast was great and catered for pretty much anything you could want. Would highly recommed.
We rented an apartment so breakfast was not included. The location was great! the apartment was within walking distance to the very old town (casco histórico of Tarragona, Spain), near the Mediterranean Sea, restaurants and supermarkets. The owner responded to our questions immediately thru WhatsApp. She was very kind. We truly enjoyed the apartment and the city!
We loved the hotel! It was so comfy and cozy. Like a boutique hotel. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great! The reception area is so cute! It was a wonderful experience! And the location was perfect. Close to great restaurants and walkable to the main areas of attractions and the beach and port. The host was very helpful and welcoming.
This is a clean, smart apartment in a quiet location between the city of Tarragona and the local beaches. It's just a 15-20 minute walk into town. There is a lovely balcony with room to sit around the table. It is very comfortable and has good facilities. Genaro and Carmen are charming and very helpful
The hotel was very clean and the room and bathroom were a perfect size with comfy beds and good air con. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk to the main rambla. They also leave pastries outside your door in the morning which was a very nice touch.
The hotel is located near the beach, also a naturist beach at walking distance. Despite the hotel has a few years, our stay was very comfortable, with a nice balcony with a view of the ocean. There is also free parking on the premises. Staff was very friendly.
Comfy beds, great little studio with kitchenette (with large fridge freezer), living area/dining area, bathroom. Great location - easy walk into the centre of Tarragona, easy access to bus station and local bus stops, excellent supermarket very close.
The location of the hotel is perfect! In the centre of Tarragona near the Rambla, train station and main attractions. We didn’t tried the breakfast but the free coffee in the main hall of the hotel was a nice extra service!
Nice hotel in the center of Tarragona, 5-minutes walking from the closest beach "platja del miracle". The staff even offerred free beach umbrella. There was the possibility to eat in the shared kitchen.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was great.
The hotel was very close to the beach.
Good price.
The rooms were big and clean, we also had a nice view at the beach.
Lovely apartment, spacious, clean and cosy. Great location, close to the beach, train station and the old town centre. Our host Kris was lovely. We had a great stay in Tarragona .
Very good localisation! Market is very close to the hotel. You can go to the beach without shoes! Free parking on the street with many free places. The apartment was very quiet.
