Very scenic area; good breakfast on site. Bathtub in the bathroom was a plus.
Bright, heated apartments at Apartamentos Turísticos Guillermo include free Wi-Fi and private parking. Set in Palas de Rei, they are located on the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route.

Amazing Spanish hospitality. Kudos to Chef Santiago for an delicious dinner - some of the dishes were his own personal creations. Wonderful in every way! Super Mikey was a creative and skilled host; he organized a wonderful evening with dinner and wine.... a precious memory we will never forget. Do not miss the opportunity to stay here and make some fantastic friends.

I could not have picked a better hotel for my stay in Palas de Rei. The owner Gustavo went out of his way to pick me up in town and drive me to the property. The rooms are cozy, warm and the beds are heavenly after a long day trailing down the Camino. They have a massage chair where I spent at least an hour and a half resting my very tired legs. They also have a beautiful and peaceful living room where you can rest up and read your book. I felt at home thanks to Gustavo and his very kind staff, and would 110% recommend staying at Pazo de Laia!

Our room was spacious and had a kitchenette that we used to cook our own dinner. Loved the access to a washing machine.
HORRIBLE HOTEL. INFESTED WITH BED BUGS AND NO HEATER IN ROOM. AWFUL SERVICE. NO ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IN TIMES OF NEED. DISGRACE TO THE CITY. HOPE THE CITY SHUTS THIS HOTEL DOWN.
WHEN YOU CALL THE FRONT DESK, THERE IS NO ONE AVAILABLE AND WHEN YOU CALL ON THE CELL PHONE, THEY SAY HEATER IS BROKEN OR MUNCIPALITY DOES NOT ALLOW HEATERS TO BE TURND ON IN ROOMS.

Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (...
Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (currently in Melide), Palas de Rei was the least interesting or exciting. Still, it had hidden gems in a hostal we found to eat dinner (there are not a lot of options) and returned for breakfast on our way out. Also, the laundry mat was a big plus and the driers worked really well. Dried a lot of clothes for 3 euros. Just have to ask around for change. The bar next door and the grocery store behind were so helpful.

A great place to stay, relax , have a well earned siesta after long walk from Portmarin 24.6 kms + Probably quieter in October when we visited but still found a good restaurant "Meson a Forxa" and had a delicious meal after 7 - early for Spanish but filled up rapidly . Lots of Camino walkers took break here.

A small town on the pilgrims way, the palas itself is 7 kilometers away.
Restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. 10 euros are enough for a person per day to be happy and even to try a milk sucking lamb baked in owen.

Small interesting town on the camino trail route (St James), not a lot to see but a good selection of bars and restaurants.
A few shops selling all sorts of things, so you could find what you need if required.
everything is so good, totally matches, and even exceeds my expectations. I forgot to pay before I lived in, and I am so sorry that I could not pay by card, I advise everyone who lives in this hotel could pay by card or cash.
Then talk back to the room, I like it so much, it gives me a feeling of a family even though I have never lived in a house built of stones, it is so special, and of course, so clean, convenient to go anywhere, pretty quiet, I met good friends there, this hotel is one of best memories in Palas de Rei.
we arrived in Palas de Rei after our Camino walk and called the property and we were collected within minutes and checked in to our accommodation. the lady of the house was friendly and helpful our room was lovely. we ate dinner in the property in a lovely little dining room and the food was really good , very well presented and very good value. beds were very comfortable and bathroom facilities were great. breakfast was really great.
A beautiful rural hotel. It was off the track of the Camino. I walked to it on the day of my arrival but the next morning the owner drove me back to my starting point on the Camino. Room very comfortable. Delicious dinner at the hotel. Quiet and lovely. Would be a lovely stop for a couple. The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. Would certainly return if I have the opportunity.
Patricia and the staff were kind and welcoming. The dinner menu at their restaurant was one of the best meals we had while in Spain. The care and attention to detail shows. Would highly recommend.
The only down side is that we booked this while walking the Camino Frances and it added 5km to an already long walking day in the heat. Just be aware when booking for your Camino. But it is worth the stay!
Everything! After a 6 hour walk in driving rain on the Camino we were lucky enough to have booked this excellent hotel.
It is located right on the Camino. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, with excellent A/C.
Ben on the desk was super helpful. Luggage was in our rooms. He helped me with the washing and drying machines.
None of our party of 3 could find anything wrong with our stay.
This is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing time in the Galician countryside. The hotel is right on the Camino Primitivo and a short taxi ride from the Camino Frances. The hosts are warm and friendly and attend to all your needs. We felt more like we were visiting friends than staying at a casa rural. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.
Humberto and his colleagues were excellent hosts. They couldn’t have been more helpful.
You pass the accommodation on the Camino route
4km before Palas de rei. We completed this 4km later that pm and Humberto kindly dropped us off early the next morning at 6.45 to Palas de rei to continue our Camino trip where we needed to begin our day. This was extremely helpful
one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in - and we stay in a lot of hotels! Gustavo and his partner couldn’t do enough for us, even picking us up and dropping us off to the camino way. room was magnificent, as were the other facilities. set in a beautiful location, our stay was really special.
Location close to restaurants and shops as well as town square and church. The hotel started operations on 10aug 2023 so everything was fresh and new. A basket of 4 oranges and 4 kiwis were a nice welcome gift. Receptionist is very responsive and likeable.
there is absolutely nothing to dislike about this place,if you are planning to stop in Palas de Rei don’t even consider staying anyplace else. unless of course you are a Camino tourist,If you are then find a hotel 😁😁
Simply the best hotel on Camino Primitivo. We have stayed many times and it is great to see the place thriving under the excellent new team. Could not be better. Highlight of our Camino.
Absolutely loved our stay. The apartment was conveniently located near the start of the Camino De Santiago, as well as to restaurants. The apartment was huge and spotless.
