Surrounded by the sandy Costa Blanca beaches and the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Alicante has a rich heritage built over thousands of years. Alacant (as it's known in Valencian) has a deep history ranging from the first tribes that arrived at the slopes of Mount Benacantil to Greeks, Romans and Moors. Nowadays, this modern city features a bustling harbor, great Spanish nightlife, charming old streets and modern beach resorts.
Overlooking the city from the top of Mount Benacantil, the Castle of Santa Barbara was built during Islamic rule in the 9th century. Cascading down the slopes towards the center of the city, L'Ereta Park has terraced levels that offer stunning panoramic views of the city. The remains of the ancient Roman town of Lucentum are also just a few miles away.
Barrio de la Santa Cruz is the historic quarter, featuring narrow streets, old houses and cobbled steps. Framed by palm trees and covered with a snaking pattern of white, red and blue tiles, the Explanada de Espana is considered one of Spain’s most beautiful promenades.
After arriving at Alicante Airport, indulge yourself in a resort near San Juan beach, or enjoy the view of luxurious yachts moored at the marina from a cozy B&B: Booking.com has the perfect spot for you to discover the magic of Alicante!

Lovely weather durng the Easter break, generally very warm to moderately hot, and cooler in the shade or when there was some wind. The area was a good size to explore on foot with convenient access to neighbouring places like El Campello by tram. The food was great, we ate out at various restaurants throughout our stay, mainly favouring paella, tapas and Japanese food (ramen and sushi). Took our kids and they had a good time exploring and spending some time on the beach. Also managed a couple of days in the hotel pool which was lukewarm but bearable for short swims (about 30-45 mins).

C6 bus from airport goes straight to marina & beach for just under €4. Large sandy beach with reasonably priced & comfortable loungers. Nice market by the marina & a casino (need to take passport). The old town has lovely little streets packed with bars & restaurants. Lovely long promenade lined with bars & restaurants and plenty to entertain the kids. Variety of shops in both old & new town.

Alicante can best be described as a smaller version of Barcelona but still with everything that a larger city can offer, great restaurants, bars, beach, shopping and easy tram access to Benidorm for those wanting something different.

We know Alicante well having owned a house there for many years. The city has lots to offer - beach, marina, promenade, castle, lovely squares, the cathedral, several art galleries and museums, literally hundreds of bars, cafes and restaurants - we like La Piazza (opposite the cathedral), Lizarran (on La Rambla), Labradores (on Calle Labradores). It is easy to walk around the city but there are plenty of buses if required.

A beautiful city to explore.
A beautiful city to explore.
Walked up to the Castle of Santa Barbara, spectacular views of the region. Ate on the main promenade, Esplanada d'Espanya - restaurants all looked excellent serving some traditional pinchos. We dined at the excellent Michelin Guide Nou Manolin in the evening, highly recommended.
this is a hidden gem! everything about this place exceeded our expectations. we stayed at 4 different hotels while visiting Spain and Serawa is by far the best stay we had! from the employees here- front desk, coffee shop, cleaning ladies everyone was exceptional. the customer service was superb! Veronica is such a wonderful host! the bed super comfortable, the room absolutely beautiful and clean. the location you can not beat. you r close to all the shops/ restaurants and even the beach. when we visit again, we will choose Serawa!
We decided to stay here for Semana Santa and found our accommodations to be clean and comfortable. We were treated with excellent service and weren't far from the Alicante city center. We ended up renting a bike and would recommend a rental of some kind for addeded freedom, though there's a bus stop in front of the hotel and you can walk all the way on the sidewalk if the weather permits. Check out La Palmeral Park if you get the chance! I highly recommend this hotel for its affordability and location.
The apartment was very clean and very quiet, and compact. The best thing was waking up next to a big window with a huge view of the sea and the sunrise streaming in, with a coffee from the machine. It is a quiet area with a nice beach nearby. Not many restaurants, but only a 6 minute tram ride to the bustle of the Alicante sea front. So it was the perfect formula, out in the city for drinks and food, then home to tranquility and a good sleep, followed by a glorious way to wake up the next morning.
Staff very friendly, check in easy. Our room was ready earlier than expected and was excellent.bed very comfortable.Shower and bathroom superb.English TV channels.Plenty of beds around Pool area.Pool bar serves food and drinks. Excellent takeaway picnic bag supplied for breakfast as we had an early flight. Check out seamless.Great location.Short walk into town centre if you want,15mins.Bus stop outside 1.5 euros flat fare.,and tram station into Benidorm or City centre opposite the hotel.
Very well equipped apartment, there was everything you may need during your stay. Our host told us about important things and gave us few recommendations in Alicante.
Apartment is very clean, a little bit too dark, there's only one window - but it won't bother you if you're gonna spend time sightseeing or chilling on the beach. :)
Big shops like Mercadona are about 10 minutes walk from the apartment, city center within 20-25 minutes of walk, you can use buses.
Since I arrived in Alicante by train and then went to Madrid the next day also by train, the hotel's location just across the train station is perfect. The walk to the city center is less than 20 minutes.
The room and the whole property are clean and neat. The staff was really helpful, they helped me fix my suitcase and gave me a room facing a quieter street because I'm a light sleeper.
Breakfast was tasty and diverse.
The location was the best. Shops, restaurants, lokal cafee just outside the door that serves really good tapas, 10 minutes walk to the beach, buses just round the corner to take you everywhere….. a small but very friendly and cozy hotel, no wild luxury but it has everything you need for a nice stay in this beautiful city. But don’t be afraid to climb the stairs 🤪 not for people with disabilities.
We have stayed in here twice before pre covid and it is still an excellent hotel. It is located in a quiet area approx. a 10 minute walk from city centre and it is near to C6 airport bus stops. Room was large and had a very comfortable bed. There was a coffee machine - TV had UK Sky news channel. Both room and bathroom were very clean. Hotel reception personnel were efficient and helpful.
The value for money compared to the other properties around Alicante was brilliant. The walk was an easy 20-30 minute stroll to the centre, but there's also nice local bakeries etc if you head north from the hotel. The bus stop to and from the airport is right outside the hotel.
The staff were very helpful. Our shower broke, and it was fixed right away.
Amazing hotel! The location is 10 out of 10 ! So easy to go to Alicante city centre and if you want to enjoy beach experience the San Juan Plaja is just around the corner! The food also surprised me! There was decaf coffee and sugar free bakery! Absolutely loved EVERYTHING about the hotel! Also worth it to mention the cleanliness! Wow! Impressed!
Cristian said 'this isn't a 5 star hotel', well it felt like it! From the warmest of welcomes, the superb advice and recommendations, a lovely, clean, bright room and the best breakfast! We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Alicante! Bravo Cristian!
We needed somewhere to stay near the airport for our last night as an emergency so we chose this hotel. it is 15 mins from the Airport which is €28 roughly.
it is closer to the Alicante city centre - 10 mins in the taxi or 45 by foot (which is a nice walk).
Pillows were nice .
The employees are all so kind and really try to accommodate whatever request you might have. The location is great, easy to go to the city centre of Alicante or San Juan beach by bus. Very clean hotel with lovely interior and exterior.
Location very good, Personnel very helpful and friendly. Breakfast tasty and good choice. Laura from clients relations front desk is courteous and very helpful. In general the hotel is a good place to stay in Alicante.
The location was very convenient for the area and the price point was good for a short get-away. Comfy beds are sometimes hard to come by in Alicante apartments, but the beds here were some of the most comfortable.
This place is amazing! Really good price for the new hotel. All furniture and really everything is very new and nice. IMO best hotel in Alicante for that price. It was also close to the city center.
This hotel was so centrally located, it was unbelievable. Close to everything. Extremely clean. Really friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Alicante. 10 / 10
After these many travels, I would say you can find something even inn5 star hotels, but I think here deserves more than 6.5. At least, I recommend for winter which I stayed.
