The staff was kind and let us be, gave us a lot of space and peace to enjoy the facilities. The breakfast was great, homemade which was so sweet. The house is really isolate which is awesome to disconnect.

Our property ia an old renovated ruin. The house is large open plan with 5 ensuite rooms a chillout area and a 57sqm group room. The style is rustic/industrial and a bit of an eclectic mix from our travels The house is very private at the end of a 2km track from the road and sits in almost 100 acres of forest olives and almonds. Our house is powered by solar a wood boiler and we source our water from our well.
We are a british and spanish couple with a young son. We are running our b&b and lead a simple but hard-working life. Days are spent sourcing and chopping wood, building walls, preparing our veg patch and getting ready for chickens. In the summer i pick blackberrys apples and figs to make jam. Seasonally we have an almond harvest around late september and an olive harvest mid december. After the harvest comes pruning piling the wood for next season and burning the leaves and twigs in small piles There is always a project on a finca
We are the north east of spain in Matarrana Aragon although we are right on the border so our closest village is Arnes in Catalunya.The region is a farming one full of olive and almond trees and small pretty medieval villages. There are several rivers and water spots so you can swim in in the summer months although the beach is less than an hour away. Popular things to do are; hiking, cycling, horse-riding, visit Mas de Bunyol ( vulture feeding station!). Hang about in the many fiestas and of course have a' menu del dia' maybe sampling local produce from olive oil, vino de tinto, ham to truffles. Local airports are ; Barcelona 2.5 hrs Reus 80mins Castellon & Zaragoza 1.45hrs
