Staff were lovely, and room clean and spacious. We had dinner, which was fine, though not amazing. We were only there for a night, stay over during a long trip, and had a good experience.

This place is very eclectic in its design. The feature is a window onto a rock wall (not outside). She has installed lighting so you can switch the color from white to red to blue. This place took some getting used to but it was fine. The townspeople were having a party and we joined right in.

We did not feel welcome.
Had to search for a receptionist to book in.
It was really a truck stop.
We had to search the streets to find something to eat.
In the morning.
The breakfast room was full of road workers, milling around in hi vi's. We struggled to get served. Miserable long faced staff.
We were glad to leave.

We have been using this hotel for many years as we travel from the Alicante region to Bilbao, or Santander ferry ports. We have always found the staff friendly and helpful.
The hotel rooms are always clean and fresh on arrival.
The restaurant is typically Spanish the food always very tasty and varied.
This hotel just a great overnight stop.

Comfortable stopover en route to Santander and the second time we have stayed here. The room had air conditioning which was essential in the 36c heat. Beds and pillows were most comfortable this time. Bar was very atmospheric as always and breakfast was as expected. Staff were friendly and we managed to communicate well despite the language barrier.
There was not a vegetarian choice on the menu but they managed to cater for us nevertheless and that was greatly appreciated.
Parking is free and on site.
All in all a very good stay and with such convenient access to the motorway. Great value for money and we will stay here again in the future.

A very clean and we'll maintained hotel.
A very clean and we'll maintained hotel. Accommodation good for a quick stay. Good value.
It would help if the afternoon staff had been a little more welcoming and not so brusque/grumpy!
It would have had a higher rating if one towel had been provided for each guest, instead of having to share!

Friendly staff and particularly helpful with making allowances for our two big dogs. Allowed us to take them in the restaurant, as long as not near the other diners. Our room was modern, clean and spacious. Can definitely recommend it if you have dogs with you.

I have been visiting and buying my wine there for over...
I have been visiting and buying my wine there for over twenty years, there is excellent wine (and several varieties) for much lower prices than Rioja; the people are generally nice; the town is banal, not pretty but tourists and visitors don't come for its looks; Cariñena is at short distance from Saragossa and on the A23 to Teruel and Valencia, very accessible.
Carinena which is 30km south of Saragossa and is an ideal stop over traveling down or up through Spain. A historic wine growing area dating back to the Roman times. A small town worth a visit. The hotel is easy to find with ample parking. Easy level access if disabled. The reception is not manned so book in via the bar. Rooms give the impression of being new so are spacious and clean. No frills such as room service etc but all you will need for a comfortable nights stay.
A very pleasant stay, good size room and very comfortable bed. The great thing for this time of year is that the hotel has central heating and everywhere in the hotel was nicely heated.
We ate in the restaurant, menu of the day, it included wine and was very reasonably priced.
The tostados at breakfast were good as was the coffee.
We arrived quite late, and were given a warm welcome, the room was a good size, spotlessly clean and we had a great nights sleep. Lovely coffee and croissant the next day. We can't rate it high enough and we will definitely stay again on our trip from France to southern Spain. Thank you Hotel Carinena!
This hotel is in a great location for a stopover. Ample free parking. Good traditional Spanish food. Menu del dia is excellent value and there are choices. Breakfast in the buzzy bar was good. Even the previously grumpy guy was welcoming. Great place to buy local wines.
The hotel is right on the N330 just on the south side of town The staff are all very friendly, except the owner/manager. Menu del dia is excellent value. Breakfast ok, no frills. Loads of parking. Our room was quite large, with good views.
We moved from France to Spain and stayed at this hotel Mon, Wed & Fri Night during one week. The evening meals are exceptional with a really good choice. We didn't need any breakfast. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
Traditional Spanish hotel but modern bedrooms & facilities. Very friendly, helpful staff.
Menu a La dia is superb , bottle of wine, bread, 3 courses of simple but very tasty food. Only 15 euros each .
This hotel is exceptionally clean and the rooms have all been refurbished to a very high standard. The bar downstairs is genuine Spanish as is the restaurant. Superb place to stay and explore the town.
The location of the hotel. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with a very large patio area outside the main window/door. The air con worked very well and was quiet.
