Location, facilities, actives, and staff were all great. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating responding to our needs. Most European hotels have a central air conditioning system and one has to be content with the set temperature. This hotel has individual AC units and one can decide on the temperature. Everything was clean.
Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa reopens with a totally renewed image from 15th May 2023.

We liked absolutely everything. From the room to the SPA area to the food in their top restaurant. On top of that we experienced the most attentive and friendly staff of any hotel we ever visited in Spain. This hotel deserves 6 stars in our opinion!

Great location on a small land strip of ca. 20km length between Mediterranean sea and the mar menor.
Most of the time you drive the main road and you see both together.
Lovely beaches and coolers like in tropical waters.
Sunsets are unbeatable and lots of terraces available to have a drink and watch it.
Beginning of the land strip is more touristic and party, towards the end it becomes more quiet and family friendly.

La Manga felt a little out of the way because it wasn't easy getting to some places outside the area. However, La Manga itself was very nice. The people were helpful and friendly.
Due to the time of year (beginning of September) and the weather, many shops and restaurants didn't open.

It'll be nice when it's finished, all the buildings were empty, no bar's shop's clubs etc., the whole area was like a ghost town or war zone. Nothing to do at all, the beach was clean but there was nothing to do there, no facilities at all, nothing, nada. On reflection there may have been one bar open in the evenings, near to the hotel but we didn't go to it, as it's so deserted there I wouldn't have like to walk around at night.

La Manga (The Sleeve) is a long strip of land separating the Med from the Mar-Menor. It varies in its width and is heavily built up in most places.
Some buildings are new, some old, some demolished or need to be!
Awesome beaches with either both Med and Mar-Menor to choose from, So choose your location carefully and you will have a nice time.

Check in 5pm but the messaged to pick keys up 15minute walk from apartment no one to greet or advise on arrival.
Beds have blankets!! Not acceptable in 2023 I work in travel industry and know they will not be laundered at each change over. Post Covid should be duvets.
No kettle just coffee maker.
Towels so old they were worn and grey.
We had little sleep during our stay due to noise from the lifts which could be herd in the bedroom. We changed rooms only to find we were woke by the plumbing!! Every time the guests above us used the toilet or shower we were woken up by the loud noise of running water this was worse when they showered and they often did at 1am !!! . One of the days we had constant banging from maintenance from 10am until 6pm there was no warning that building works were being carried out unfortunately it was the day we decided to try and catch up on some sleep due to the disturbances at night.

We have just returned from our first ever stay at La Manga, it will definitely be the first of many to come! From check in to checkout all the staff were very friendly and courteous. So, coming from a travel background and reading some of the reviews prior, it far exceeded my expectations. We were very kindly given a room upgrade to be near to our friends. The room was lovely with a gorgeous view which overlooked the 18th hole, grounds were immaculate too. We ate at Amapola and La Cala during our 2 night stay which were both great. The only criticism I would have if any, is the Breakfast service - you had to grab the attention of a waitress to ask for teas (the coffee was self service) maybe after being seated this could be offered........or possibly I'm being too British!

The hotel was as expected. Very clean. On the other hand the room we were given although we paid a premium for a sea view only had it if you were willing to lean out of the balcony to get a partial view. Given the circumstances and the fact that the hotel was quite empty, the management did make a very poor choice by giving is this room and we will definitively NOT recommend this property. The clerk was not welcoming at all and when we mentionned a problem with the internet connection did not seem to be remotely interested in helping.
We booked Superior Twin room located on 8th floor, the bedroom and bathroom were quite large and roomy. A great view overlooking the Mediterranean. The breakfast and evening meals were buffet, salad was great but the hot food was a little processed. This is mainly a Spanish hotel with Spanish meal times, not a problem for us however. The pool is great, big with plenty of sunbeds and the hotel is on the strip between the Mediterranean and Mar Menor so you have two choices of beaches.
Location, facilities, actives, and staff were all great. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating responding to our needs. Most European hotels have a central air conditioning system and one has to be content with the set temperature. This hotel has individual AC units and one can decide on the temperature. Clean, well equipped & perfectly quiet.
So much better than a hotel & more than reasonably priced. Nice pool & complex.
Local bus easy to get along La Manga strip.
Lovely fish restaurants & places around the marina. Recommend 1975.
More to see such as markets & harbour in Caba De Palos which is at the ‘start’ of La Manga.
The rooms were good size clean and comfortable. The Proximity to beach was fabulous. Many with sea view. We were there for my daughter's wedding and the staff were incredibly helpful with all we required. All the staff were friendly and the breakfasts were very good. No complaints. I would recommend this hotel.
All went very....easy check in, pleasant friendly staff in all areas of hotel. We had half board and food was good with plenty of choice. Comfortable bedrooms, shower was fantastic...lots of room and great water power. Plenty of loungers on terraces and direct access to the beach, Everywhere was spotless
The hotel is clean, there is a pool, near the hotel a lot of places to park the car.
The food is tasty, but due to Corona you can eat only in predefined time slots, which is not so flexible.
There is an amazing view from the balcony and from the bathroom on Mar Menor.
location of the Hotel was best on the strip. On the small peninsula which have spectacular viewing of the beach.
Very clean beach. And a low level area, not too many tower blocks, so open views and from terrace you can see through to the lake side and see sunset.
We liked absolutely everything. From the room to the SPA area to the food in their top restaurant. On top of that we experienced the most attentive and friendly staff of any hotel we ever visited in Spain. This hotel deserves 6 stars in our opinion!
The hotel has been renovated recently and is elegant and casual. Breakfast is great. And the spa is beautiful. The pool was chilly but felt wonderful when you did manage to get in. All the staff were so kind, attentive and friendly.
Perfect location, nice sea view. Free parking in front of the hotel. Good quality windows in the room- no sea noise in the room. Good air conditioning. We had a good sleep. The hotel is old (oldschool) but it's clean and mostly ok.
The pool area met our expectations and the breakfast was good if you were there when they opened. If you came later, it was very crowded and chaotic. The hotel is more of a 2 or 3 star hotel than a 4 star.
I don't understand the people who wrote bad reviews on this hotel. We enjoyed it a lot. We visited the hotel in April, all facilities were available and food was good. I had a very relaxing mud therapy.
The views from the apartment are really very nice!
Very convenient location for those who want a laze-around holiday. You can find every facilities near enough.
