If you come to Playa del Ingles you have to remember it's...
If you come to Playa del Ingles you have to remember it's not only a beach holiday but also one of Europe's largest gay nightlife scenes. So if your offended by camp, drag queens, leather guys, pride festivals and so on book a 1* static caravan in Prestatyn instead. If your not you're welcome, and welcomed. Some great venues for everybody of whatever sexuality, identity and age et al. There are some men only venues and let's be honest if you not a gay or bi man then you'd rather not want to know so just move on and likewise outside the Yumbo area there are straight swingers clubs.

Have been visiting for many years and has an all year round good climate. Some areas are now looking a bit tired and there are many empty shops in the various shopping centres. The Kasbah has closed down completely and is derelict. Many of the hotels are a long way from the beach so a pool and sunbeds is really required.

Relaxed and informal resort with lots of places to eat at various price levels and plenty of bars ranging from pubs to swish cocktail bars.
Clientele is mixed British/European with a large LGBT community.
It is not a pretty resort - pretty much everything is concrete but softened by lots of trees. Many places are in unattractive concrete shopping centres dating back to the 1980s.
Prices are generally good and get better if you head up to San Fernando in the Spanish speaking part of town where there are lots more lovely restaurants and big supermarkets.
Everywhere is very easy to walk and the resort is on a slight incline down to the sea.
There is an excellent bus service which takes you around the island for just a few euros and is definitely worth exploring.
Walk along the seafront to San Agustin is recommended and there are some high end shops in the Faro (lighthouse) area of town which is about 15 minutes bus ride away.

Mostly purpose built for tourism so there's plenty of accommodation available - shop around. Ample bars, restaurants, many with entertainment at night. You could just stay in PDI but I'd recommend renting a car and go visit other towns and villages around the island - there are some real gems, such as Agaete, Teror, Puerto de Mogan, Charco de la Aldea, to name a few.

Near to shops and restaurants and bars.
Near to shops and restaurants and bars. Only complaint we had was that the footpaths were dangerous. The pavements were shiny and slippery (in the dry weather), in some places they were uneven and I saw a lady slip and fall.

Playa del Ingles: you either love it or hate it.
Playa del Ingles: you either love it or hate it. We are somewhere in between: it is useful that there are all kinds of facilities, but it is far from authentic, everything is made for tourists, only tourists stay there, to find an original 'local' you have to search for a long time . On the other hand, it is a sunny place and a good base for going inland, towards the mountains and canyons of San Bartelomé, Santa Lucia, Roque Nublo, etc.

They were worried about how disappointed we were with the hotel. People working there were nice to us and proposed to reimburse our money for the remaining nights we did not stay there.
My partner and I were extremely disappointed and they tried to help.
It is in the middle of Playa del Ingles and the party is close, if you want to be close to the party and do not care about quality of the place neither sleep, I think is fine but expensive for such quality.
Welcoming hotel with excellent all inclusive. Food was delicious, plentiful and varied. Very comfortable beds and pillows, slept soundly.
Entertainment every evening at 9pm . Quiet areas available if you prefer. Wish we could have stayed longer but the waistline is thankful !Towels for pool were free to hire for a deposit. Lovely location for walking along the promenade and across the dunes to Maspalomas Faro ( the lighthouse and museum)
Amazing place to stay in the centre of Playa del Ingles. The staff was excellent and friendly, especially Yonet and Karina from Restaurant and Christian from Reception👍👍👍Great job and 10 points for their service!!! The room was clean and nice view, perfect experience, even though I could not enjoy the swimming pool because of work purposes. But I will definitely come back.
Thank you!!
clean, comfortable, gay adult men only. you can sunbathe and swim naked at ease. very private. the staff are very friendly and happy.
hyperDino market is two /three mins walk away, shandy location for walk to the beach either at playa del ingles or walk further to palace hotel to visit number 7 beach. cita is close to walk to and yumbo is ten mins walk which is easy get to
Everything about the place - staff, food & drink, facilities, entertainment, location - was fabulous. Everyone worked so hard to provide an exceptional experience - nothing was too much bother. 24/7 all inclusive meant exactly that. And to cap it all, the hotel is just a 3 minute walk from the airport bus that charges just 3.50 Eur pp each way. Will definitely return.
The hotel is very well located next to bus stations, beach and shops. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful and so are the rest of the meals. Very good drinks at very reasonable prices. The staff always smiling and doing their best to make you feel excellent. Also the hotel and the amenities are very clean and the garden is simply magnificent.
Great property in a very quiet part of town. Nice clothing optional pool and very friendly staff. The bed was great (finally a double bed in Gran Canaria!). The fact that you can also be a day guest at their other resorts is amazing! We definitely have enjoyed the Seven Hotel a lot too!
Staff at Sandy Beach are fantastic, always helpful and friendly. Food is super delicious (we had half board), I was impressed by the quality of everything they offered for breakfast and dinner. One tip: do not come to this hotel if you're on a diet! The food is irresistable.
Great location less than 5 mins away from the beach. Clean hotel and room cleaned every day. The food was great, diverse and consistent in quality. The animation team does great work during the day and evening getting everybody engaged.
very clean hotel with good location. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. Delicious foods. Comfortable, large, quiet room. Comfortable, huge bed. Wi-Fi is perfect throughout the hotel. All inclusive all day.
The hotel has nice amenities, the swimming pool is good but not so many sunbeds available around the pool area. The food is ok but the snacks were rather unhealthy. Drinks are good and all inclusive prices were great.
Amazing hotel, bungalows are well planned, staff is super friendly and nice, pool area is beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s much better than most resorts in Gran Canaria
