The birthplace of Picasso is as colorful as an artists palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and youll find your place among the youthful square of the old center, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.
There's also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.
A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga 's most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 6 miles from the center of town.
From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you're sure to find the perfect place to stay for your sunny vacation.

I knew nothing about Malaga before I made the trip other than it was the birth place of Picasso. After the week I knew so much more about the place and it definitely have something for everyone in different age and budget. Art lovers won't be disappointed and so do those interested in gastronomy, history, beaches and clothes shopping.

Liked most the port area and market type shops there and bars and the views. Beach is a nice option in a city. Plenty of historic things to see.
Car and fashion museum very good.
Liked least that restaurants extremely meat oriented. Even tapas ones. Very few options if any for vegan/ vegetarian if you don’t eat dairy products.

Beautiful city, especially for a long weekend.
Beautiful city, especially for a long weekend. Mixture of fun and culture and it even has a beach on the other side of the harbour. Fabulous city for singles, couples and families - lots to do. Most places are easy to walk to. There were quite a few hen/stag events, but the noise got lost in the hubbub of the place, so it did not worry us.

It was our 3rd holiday to Malaga & we will definitely be back next year. Studio flat was clean & had everything we needed but stairs up to terrace felt a bit worrying as they were quite steep to walk up & down but overall a great holiday & we'll definitely come back.
Breakfast was enough to choose from and tasted great. Room was very larg, with a comfortable large (king size) bed. Simple furnished, incl. coffee machine and refridgerator. Large bath with plenty of warm water and pressure. The Hotel is within walking distance to downtown Malaga, beach, harbor, ATM, and shopping/restaurants - great location. It was quiet during our stay, and we enjoyed the location and friendly staff. What I thought was interesting is that they contacted me via WhatsApp and provided helpful information.
A wonderful hotel in every respect, very nice, polite and helpful staff, great breakfasts, many delicious dishes, several types of bread, yogurts, juices, coffee, cakes, a very nice restaurant, clean room, bed made every day, fresh towels every day, several TV programs, also in English, German.
A wonderful terrace overlooking the old town of Malaga. Quiet and really very pleasant. Close to everything, great connection to the airport (4 stops by light rail - 15 minutes). Thank you so much.
I would highly recommend
For its category, this hotel is great. Spotless rooms with white linen and bathroom. Coffee machine and coffee pods available in the room. Upon arrival, we were greeted with fresh bottles of water. Homemade continental buffet. Hotel is 5 mins drive to airport. It’s sitting in a neighborhood full of beautiful houses. 5 mins walk to the beach. Beautiful garden and pool to relax. 10 mins drive to the Designer Outlet. If you don’t want all the hustle and bustle of Malaga center, here’s a quiet spot. Recommend indeed!
Good location in the sense that it is away from the crowds and noise of the old town, the beach and the sea are across the road from the hotel (just cross a wide 8 lanes boulevard).
The hotel is well maintained, modern and minimalist style.
The room is well furnished, tasteful interior design, very comfortable bed, good pillows, clean bathroom, cleaning staff does their job well.
Breakfast is good, not very varied and the same every day (we stayed 5 days and nothing changed).
Very nice and quiet apartment in an Aparthotel in the beautiful Soho-district. Only a 5 minute walk to Malaga’s old town. Restaurants, a market and bakery nearby.
Very easy to get into the apartment when we arrived after midnight from the airport. Before arriving they send us codes that unlock the main door to the building and the door to the apartment. The reception is open every day from 11-19, and the staff is very helpful. Thank you for a very nice stay!
The hotel is in the Soho area of Malaga, which feels like it’s at the beginning of becoming up and coming. It’s not in the busiest area, so you get the piece of being away with only a 5 minute walk to either the old town or the beach.
The best thing about this hotel were the staff. Everyone from the reception to the cleaning staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The second best thing was the air con! But we did go in August.
Very modern hotel with a nice pool and leisure area. Close to the beach and old town. Very convenient access to the airport just 10 min walk to the train station and 12 min on the train. Rooms are nicely decorated with the mini fridge and kettle. Pool towels available in the reception free of charge.Super tasty breakfast with lots of vegetarian options.Thank you to the reception team for putting all our 5 rooms on the same floor.
Elegant spacious quiet centrally located hotel. Lovely poolside restaurant and service. Nice fitness. Large beautiful spotlessly clean rooms. Beautiful building and grounds. Friendly, discreet and helpful staff. Small beach adjacent. Located in a quiet neighborhood of downtown Malaga, just 10 minute walk from the port and bustling Old Town.
I invited my mother for a trip to Spain and rented a car for a few days. The parking here was a breeze, hassle free. Yes, they charge you but totally worth it for the convenience. The hotel is closer to the airport than the city. Staff was great and the room was fantastic. Great resort and beach access. Definitely going there again.
location was excellent, just a few minutes walk to the old town and the centre of Malaga. lots of restaurants and bars, and also not far from the harbour and beach. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and the room was spotless. The rooftop pool and bar service was excellent. would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Malaga.
IT WAS CLEAN. On our 4th day in Malaga we decided to change hotel from the previous. The immense difference in class this hotel has compared to some in the old town. They also stored our luggage since we were there before check in. Honestly we did not leave the room, the tv has YouTube and Netflix. Great hotel for fair price.
Close to the airport. 10 mins drive. Nice walk along paseo/ beach to Malaga old town. Chiringuitos and bars close by. Nice and friendly stuff. Good location. Secure building. Easy to find. Little things provided: some medicine, cleaning stuff, washing liquids, shampoos ect. In general comfortable and pleasant
lovely small hotel with a great location. 10min walk to the old town and the marina and 5min walk to the beach. Airport bus stops a 3min walk away, and the small rooftop pool is perfect for a quick dip to cool off. Couldn’t have asked for more for the price i paid. Would 100% stay again.
Location, location, location. Really close to the main important places in Malaga such us the train/bus station, the old town or the beach. Everywhere can be reached by foot in max 30 minutes.
Also I really appreciated the option we could check in earlier and take a nap/siesta.
Reception is amazing, very helping!
Nice coffee, in the morning enjoyed a cup while working before going out to play.
Strong WiFi
Clean!
Refillable water bottle & unlimited water on reception
