The hotel consists of small houses in a beautiful garden, close to the river. Even though close to the city center of Puyo you have the feeling of being in the rainforest already. You hear many birds and the water from the river in the room. The breakfast area is outdoors and lovely, also great for working. The breakfast is prepared fresh and very tasty. You can walk to the city center in 30 minutes taking the beautiful paseo turistico along the river, lined by forest.

Puyo has a lot to see and experience, much of it can be found as walking tours around town. And the people are friendly and helpful (Which is the most favorable thing about beautiful Ecuador.) Expect rain at times, and the litter situation can be bothersome.

Puyo is TOTALLY undersold by guidebooks and travel websites. I had a wonderful time exploring Puyo for two whole days and left feeling there was a lot more to be discovered. It's a great place to explore the Amazon region, especially because it isn't so hot as other places like Tena. Would recommend, and I hope to return someday!ElizabethUnited States of America

It's located on one of the main streets in town, a stone's throw from multiple restaurants (including an exceptional Chinese restaurant!). I was very satisfied with my spacious room, the fast internet, and good hot water in the bathroom. The included breakfast was simple and adequate. COVID protocols were observed throughout. The rooms are very nice, my room didn't have A/C but the large fan kept the room cool. The breakfast was also excellent. There is a bus stop directly outside the property that takes you the 5 minute journey into Puyo (or take a taxi). A great spot to plan day trips out to the jungle or see the waterfalls. Highly recommended.
