This stay was very comfortable. The room was large. I was able to travel with my dog which is always a huge plus. The dog fee was only 10 Euro per night which is very reasonable. The area was quiet and it was a wonderful place to relax. We had a gorgeous balcony connected to our room which was nice to sit out on during the sunny days. The shower has good water pressure, and plenty of hot water. I also traveled with my 18 month old, there was a crib set up in the room for us on arrival. Parking available on site. Breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. The real gem of this place is the host. Claudia is knowledgeable about the area and made wonderful recommendations, provided brochures and even some travel books to help us plan our days. I don't normally return to places or hotels because I like to experience new places, but I do plan to return to Rusticana. I really can't recommend this place enough.

This family-run guest house is located in Klais at an altitude of 3117 feet in the Northern Alps, and provides an beautiful rural environment between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald on the Bavarian/Tyrolean border. The bedrooms furnished in a traditional Alpine style feature flat-screen TV, free WiFi and panoramic views. Relax in the garden or on the panorama terrace of the Rusticana. There is also a drinks fridge available to guests. Your hosts at the Rusticana are certified hiking cycling and nature guides. Rental bikes are available closeby. Cross-country ski paths and ski runs starts near the property. Hiking track starts right in front of the property. There is also a stop for the free local bus service which takes guests to other popular local hiking areas and attractions.
