Great location,lovely hotel,good fairly standard German food but well cooked and presented. Good place to explore the whole valley and WineStreet. Local 1 track railway up and down the valley.easy to explore Koblenz and the Moselle valley from here.

Overall decent food and wine albeit slightly pricey compared to average German prices. Nice hiking tracks and a quiet town. Wido's bakery and cafe is worth visiting. Try their Nussecke, you won't regret it - unless you have a nut allergy.

When sunny, Mayschoss, which lies in the middle of the Ahr-valley, is very idyllic. Vineyards at steep hills around both sides of the river make for nice views indeed. You can easily hike around or cycle next to the river. Nice wine bars in Mayschoss too!WouterGermany - 10Scored 10

Views, walking, wines, accessibility to local towns and sights not least Bonn and Koblenz. If you're looking for peace and quiet this is for you. Equally excellent to help find your walking legs again. If you're interested in history the recently opened Government bunker is on your doorstep. Tours only in German but you can couple some homework with plenty of visual information as you walk around this unique and historic place.
