The pool was nice and partly shady to escape the mid-day sun. Kids loved the hammock and swing. Outdoor sitting area in shade was nice. AC worked okay to cool down the rooms for sleeping. Location was good to quickly get to town restaurants and grocery. Kitchen was equipped well enough and I appreciate that it had some cooking oil.

Tico Lodge is a beautiful property and in a great location just a short walk from the Main Street and the beach. The staff were very helpful and helped to make reservations for activities.

Great location. Quiet. Good parking available. Air conditioning worked great. Nice hammocks outside room. Pool was nice and refreshing. Nice to have the shared kitchen space. My wife locked the keys in our room after hours and the staff was understanding and polite as they corrected our error.

We had a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the ground floor near the pool. We could see our kids in the pool from our indoor or outdoor table. Our family has two parents and three kids, and there was plenty of room for sleeping, cooking, dining at a large table or kitchen counter, and seating in the living space. The living room had a TV with internet services and an HDMI to hook up a laptop. The apartment has a kitchen, but there is an open, shared kitchen that is fun for meeting other families. In addition to the pool, there is a yoga studio where you can take a class or use in the off-hours for a stretch or break from the family. The staff spoke English, arranged excursions for us, and provided in-house laundry (for a small fee). It takes 3-5 minutes to walk to restaurants, grocery stores, and the beach. The hotel even lent us a boogie board and beach towels. Highly recommended for families and those who want to have a "home base" for a few days.

The jungle vibe and all the plants and trees were spectacular. We stayed in the room with two double beds and thought it was cozy and private. We heard zero road noise in this room. Also, the A/C worked well and the beds were comfy. We really liked the staff. The two gentlemen who were working when we arrived were very kind and welcoming. The cleaning crew and everyone else as well. The best thing about this place for us, however, was the yoga space. My fiancé and I are both yoga teachers and just like wanted a space to practice and we absolutely loved it. There are classes that you can take but they seemed a little too easy and boring for us, but that’s ok a lot of people like that kind of a class. You can also book a massage but I didn’t see any description of the type of massage, price, or anything about the masseuse so I decided not to risk it (hint).
