The lodging was very nice and spacious. The mini kitchen was great to prepare something before going out to rock climb. The hot water does work in the shower, u just have to be very gradual with the shower nob. There are a few good places to eat and shop nearby. If you're down for a walk, downtown is roughly 30 minutes away. Cindy (the property owner) is very hospitable. She's the best!
Featuring garden views, Refugios de Alta Güita in Suesca features accommodations and a garden. Among the facilities at the property, there's also a rooftop pool and outdoor fireplace.
What I like the most is the property location, in Suesca's main square, near to restaurants, shops, and transportation. The hotel is a beautiful old, well-maintained house. Rooms are ample, clean, and comfortable. The property has a convenient restaurant and bar. It is a perfect place for families and couples. Suesca rocks and Nemocon salt mine are close beautiful natural tourist spots.
Good hostal. We've been climbing in suesca for 4-5 days and really enjoyed it.
Really friendly staff will solve anything you need.
Take the bus to Suesca and kids
Just ask the driver to drop you outside the hostal, very easy to get to.
Very close to the crag
Great value for money
Felipe is a very relaxt host and a good climbing instructor. There was a nice atmosphere in the hostel.

+/- bed was ok
The owner. So kind and helpful. Made the stay really special. Really warm beds
Everything everyone else has written about the hospitality is accurate.
We purely came to Suesca to climb (amazing climbing) and this was by far the best accommodation we found.
The owner felipe is a very friendly guy who helped us a lot, gave us informations about suesca and the climbing spots and also about how to reach the el cocuy national park. we would recommend the hostel to any traveller's who want to get to suesca.
Hostel was well located, close to the Suesca rock (note it’s a ~30min from the village itself, which I liked), easily reachable by bus from Bogotá. Property was spacious, clean and well decorated. Host Diana made me feel at home
The location, in the countryside of Suesca, is exceptional. Gorgeous and peaceful. You definitely need a car to reach the lodge, though. The room were spacious, clean and pretty. The breakfast that was included was good quality.
Our room was beautiful and spacious with a lovely hammock to relax in. The hotel itself is in a stunning old building, and the staff were really friendly. They even opened the bar for us when nobody else was around 🙂
Beautiful hotel, nice room, good restaurant, very good message (for extra price of course, but it wad worth it), good parking, very close to the main park, they also did our laundry there and brought it to the room.
The hotel was incredible! The highlight of the hotel was how accommodating and friendly the staff were. One of the best hotel experiences I've had!! The architecture of the hotel was beautiful and felt very homey.
- staff was very nice to us, they provided an extra blanket since it was cold
- they also helped with washing our clothes
- breakfast was also good with fresh fruits
- very close to climbing rocks of Suesca
