The beach was perfect, couldn't ask for better. Also a full boat arrives at 9am but leaves by 3pm it's nice that it's not too crowded really at all but at night as well. There is sometimes quiet music playing but not loud at all which we appreciated. The hotel is secluded which was relaxing on one hand. Breakfast was good and prices for everything else was fair.
Located inside the Archipielago de las Islas natural park, Coralina Isla Boutique features a restaurant, a private beach area, and a solarium in Cartagena de Indias.

Everything. Coralina Island is a wonderful luxury boutique hotel where you are treated like family, you feel very comfortable. The location is amazing: an island made of literally dead corals with a fantastic and alive coral reef just in front of you. The sea is turquoise and the food is excellent. All of this less than 2 hours away from Cartagena by boat. We took the room facing the sea and I absolutely recommend it because we have the most fantastic sunset view ever. It was amazing. We stayed 4 nights and this was the right time to truly enjoy it.
Facing the beachfront, Isla Tijereto offers 3-star accommodations in Isla Grande and features a garden, terrace and restaurant.

Attractive layout, nice large swimming pool, comfy beds, good buffet breakfast.
Loved the quiet and elegant boutique hotel vibe. The hotel was full of really lovely interesting guests and the staff were really welcoming and attentive.
We loved our stay there as quiet interlude to the fast pace of Cartagena.
If you're looking for party vibe then Coralina is not for you (head to Bora Bora). If you're looking for beautiful island shabby-chic luxury then Coralina is perfect.

Incredible place to rest, away from the tiresome sellspeople that crowd Playa Blanca and Barú offering from massages to wrist bands. Here you can actually REST, and do whatever you want to do, snorkeling, kayaking reading. Even work, if you must, the wifi connection was great at the hostel we stayed.
You can easily walk the island or do a round trip vía Kayak (3-4 hours aprox). The Mangle are really beautiful and that's a nice tour to have. The little village of Orika (1500 ppl) is really nice and peple are very kind with tourists. There were 2-3 restaurants that I can remember, but none looked tempting so we stayed with the Hostel restaurant for health sake. No need to improvise. :)
It's a small island perfect for introspection and sea sports as mentioned before. I'd say it's a mandatory visit if you go to Cartagena (hey, you can even sacrifice Playa Blanca without loosing too much, if you must prune a few days of your stay), but definitely try to visit the island. We travelled with 3 kids aged 16, 13 and 12. and 3 nights at the hostel hit the spot for them. More would have been a little too much for them.

This is the furthest island and honestly there’s nothing to do here. Specifically at this hotel, there was only two lawn chairs where the sun actually reached and the rest were always in the shade. And the two that were in sun were always occupied. The one time we did get to sit in them, the dock it’s on was not sturdy or secure. In fact the board under the chair broke as my friend was laying in it!! And the chair leg went towards the water.
The hotel itself had no beach so you had to walk 20 minutes to get there and it was not easily accessible by any means. All the other beaches were private and you had to pay for.
They offered theee excursions - I can’t speak to one. But the other two were scams.

It felt really remote but with everything you needed (be prepared, no A/C.
The Caipirinhas are FANTASTIC how they make them.
Kayaks pull up with cocktails from outside vendors. Adds a fun element.
Most nights they offered something to do after the day trippers left.

This is an island that is completely run for the profits of the beach resorts who cater almost exclusively to the day-trippers from Cartagena. This means that if you are not in one of these resorts your access to much of the island is restricted. For the most part, there are no evident access points into the interior of the island from these resorts and we found ourselves entering through service entrances to try to get the coast, or a bar and were often found trespassing. Some of these resorts are more welcoming than others and some charge an entry fee for non-guests. However, many of these resorts don't seem to have overnight guests and, therefore, shut up shop after 4pm so there is little-to-no evening activity on the island (and no street lights, so make sure to have a torch with you)
There are some fun and interesting activities to do on the island - enough to fill a day, but the limited access when staying there meant that we were very ready to leave after two nights.

Great for relaxing.
Great for relaxing. Warning to all those who love the ubiquitous and annoying Colombian music - no music is allowed in any part of Coralina Island! You will enjoy the silence, the sound of the sea waves and the chirping of the birds.
The owner of the hotel, a French-Colombian named Pierre, is a wonderful person. Thanks to him, his kind nature and willingness, we felt like we were visiting a good friend or family member. Barbora, a Czech living in Colombia.
The location was "off the grid". The staff were friendly and excellent and never hustled for tips. (we especially loved Alvaro and Dixon). The breakfast were huge and offered plenty of choice. The rooms were fairy basic but perfectly comfortable. We loved the diverse mix of visitors coming to this hotel and got to know many of them. There are several activities you can find if you ask around - like a trip to a nearby bird sanctuary island. I loved the artisan coffee at the reception. It costs extra, but it's worth it.
Excellent property and very convenient for diving or fishing activities. Jean and his staff were extremely, pleasant and helpful. Property has an amazing bay view and clear waters. It can get hot during the day but heck you are on an island. Its not a 5 star Hotel but very private. project coming soon so will definitely come back. The price is the lowest on the island for such an amazing experience. They have these cool beach party just a 15 minute walk called Secret Paradise for those who come to party.
We loved our stay at Cocoliso! The staff were exceptional! Everyone always had a smile on their face and were extremely helpful! We used the onsite activities office and loved the scuba diving and snorkeling. The food that we had was delicious. We spent lots of time in and around the pool. We also enjoyed snorkeling right in front of the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also whoever is hiring and training the staff is to be commended!
We had an amazing stay here! Isleta is very quiet and laid back, with some good options to spend the day at the beach at another hotel 5 mins from this one (for example Coralina hotel) while staying and eating at this way cheaper accomodation with good and clean rooms (more like huts). It even has a deck with nice sun beds to go into the water from, you could easily spend an entire day at this accomodation itself as well.
The host, Jorge, was fantastic. The rooms were clean, big and very nicely finished. Each has a Bose portable Bluetooth speaker to use around the property. The private spaces for the hotel guests such as the pool area and on top of the roof of the rooms were really nice. The setting itself is amazingly beautiful with pelicans flying around and diving for fish in front of you as you watched the sun setting. Simply stunning.
I had an amazing stay at the Rosario EcoHotel. My room was big, with a huge and comfortable bed, overlooking the sea and literally 5 steps away for it. Only have good things to say about the staff... very polite, kind, helpful and always with a smile. They also are actively involved in campaigns to neuter the stay dogs of the island (seems a big issue throughout Colombia unfortunately), so help with a donation if you can!
Fantastic place to stay at for a few days. Nice clean bungalows with beautiful view of the sea. Clean and cute beach with great food and drinks. The wifi was reliable and the staff was also very friendly. The hotel offers nice day trips around the island for snorkeling and diving. Just what we needed to finish off our trip to Colombia, 2 days of rest and relaxation in amazing surroundings.
Staff were lovely . Food was really delicious and great value . The beach was small and most people dismiss it , but for me it was perfect because it was so peaceful , often I was the only one there. Unlike the neighbouring hotels . I was in an upstairs private room overlooking breakfast room, and it was very quiet , no problems with neighbours or music from the bar
Location was very easy to get to when arriving from the boat and the room was very clean and spacious. Several beaches are a 3 minute walk away and there are many activities that you can do through the hotel. The hotel is run by a family and is very kind - I forgot something on the island and they helped get it back to me in Cartagena.
Location, cleanliness, price, vibe. Activities were excellent and reasonably priced. But the snorkeling is even better 100 meters directly in front of the hotel than the excursion. Just rent the kayak and go out there yourself, I also recommend avoiding the weekend, if possible. There is loud music from neighboring properties.
The staff were very friendly, few playful animals, basic and rustic which is as expected for the price and matches its description. It’s located in the middle of the island with sea to the front and back and you can easily walk around the island to visit the other hotel bars/restaurants
The location is definitely the star of this hotel. Beautiful calm water, not a huge sandy beach area, but a small one just to the side that is easily accessible. The staff are also incredibly friendly, shout out to the waiter Joseph who was running around the whole time.
The Staff is very nice, the private beach in front of the Hotel is very good although it can be very loud if there is too much boats with loud music in front of it. The good thing is that they all leave around 3pm so you have some hours without day tourists at the beach.
The Island is very nice, especially the close contact with the locals. Food is very tasty. Very well organized wrt beach beds and the division between day-trip tourists and guests staying at the hotel. A good variety of activities to chooce from.
Great food. Nice location with a little beach and dock good for swimming right around the corner. They cleaned the rooms and filled up the bathroom water barrels everyday. It's a nice calm place to base yourself at while exploring Isla Grande.
Good location, peaceful, not crowded, easy access to nice spot for bathing & short walk to beaches & restaurants. Able to rent kayaks & paddle boards from the hotel. Food is excellent. Hammocks outside each cabin are comfy.
Perfect get away only an hour boat ride from Cartagena, onto a minimalist island, with chickens and roosters, dogs and cats. Beaches are nice, but of coral (wear shoes). Nice cabanas and chairs to relax. Meals were good.
Good location, private beach, next to another great hotel Hamaquero with very good food and beach. The stuff is nice.
The shower was very thin, not possible to wash the hair.
The room was amazing, big, good AC!
- Wi Fi all day
- Breakfast
- Beautiful beaches nearby
Tip: Go to a day using in Hotel Gente Del Mar (10 minutes walking) or go to the private beach/restaurant in Hotel San Pedro de Majagua (2 minutes walking)
The hotel was so beautiful, from the room to the views it was perfect :) the included breakfast and kayaks are a big plus and the staff is super helpful.
