Excellent food! Grab a delicious empanada or sit down for a yummy pastry and coffee or hot chocolate. There are two great spots across from the main bus station. Best deals in town!

Very good and colonial place that remains without many changes in the architecture, which in itself is something of the magic of the town. Gastronomy has been greatly developed and you can find options for all tastes and budgets, there are even a couple of very good vineyards. Two days will be enough.

Villa de Leyva is well known to the people in Colombia, but many foreigners don't know about it. It is a small colonial town. All of their streets are covered with stone. The construction, even new homes are built according to a well defined colonial style.

Very good place to stay for a weekend.
Very good place to stay for a weekend. In two or three days you can get to know the main touristic attractions in this city. The main museums are near to the main square and one day is enough to get to know all of them. Almost everything can be done by walking, but I would recommend hiring a private taxi if you want to know the Casa de Terracota or the Museu Paleontológico, they are a bit far. I would recommend the restaurants at Centro Comercial El Atico, the place is very beautiful. Another (more expensive) option is the Centro Comercial La Guaca, which is also beautiful and perfect for a good beer and to listen live music. Good food at a good price can be found at El Tomatino, very close to the Chocolate Museum.

Is a great colonial, gastronomical, fun, cozy, magical town with warm people, lot of tourists and plans to make (visit the desert, the blue lagoons, museums, wine tours, horse riding, or simply walk around the colonial architecture and appreciate the fossils and white matching houses🏠)
Totally recommended! We loved it, the house and especially the room are beautiful and were designed with love to detail. The owner is absolutely lovely and attentive, and helped us in any way we needed. The breakfast is delicious. But especially, the place is spotlessly clean! If we come to Villa de Leyva again, we will stay here for 100% again, also the location is great, quiet and yet only two blocks of the main square.
Really nice time and definitely exceeded expectations. The place is very close to Villa de Leyva, but the fact that it' not in the town itself means that it is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for a very relaxing stay. Clemencia is incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very nice, always with a different type of bread from around the region. Really liked it and will consider again in the future.
This hotel was as perfect as can be. Firstly, the staff were all the sweetest people you could meet, making sure everything was taken care of. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms had everything you needed. The breakfast was delicious every morning, with coffee/hot chocolate/tea, fruits, eggs, bread and cheese. Fontana is definitely the best place to stay in Villa de Leyva
This is a family house so you’ll need to manage your expectations given that this is not a typical hotel. For me, i like places like that as it has a family vibe to it. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. The mattresses were hard, as in most places i stayed at in Colombia, but i prefer it.
Location is great and very close to the square.
I really loved the courtyard!
Newly renovated colonial building in a very quiet part of Villa de Leyva, run by a very friendly and forthcoming young couple. We had a big, bright room with a small balcony. The breakfast which consisted of fruit and other local products was tasty and changed every day. We very much enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back.
If I could give this place 12 or 15 out of 10 I would. Without doubt the best place we stayed in Colombia. Beautiful small hotel with so many small touches. Ideal location close to main square. Lovely rooms but special mention to the staff, Edith and Diego: the most friendly, welcoming and helpful we met, a credit to the hotel.
Great hostel close to the main plaza, convenient to all. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy hammocks and social spots to chill and meet people. There were 3 bathrooms that I saw. Lockers available. There was definitely hot water in the showers if the water pressure was turned down (ask if you are having trouble with it).
Tere, the host is super friendly and gentle, we felt really welcomed and she gave us really good information about places and services in Villa de Leyva.
The design of the house is beautiful and the house itself is comfortable and cozy.
Wood for the chimeney was always available and accessible.
A very clean and comfortable hotel. The family room was very large. The hotel is located in a quiet street of Villa de Leyva and has a private parking lot for cars. The owner, Don Carlo, is super friendly and goes the extra mile for his guests. He even fixed our car! Gracias Don Carlo!
Beautiful clean room with an incredible view, lovely courtyard. Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive and took care to accommodate my vegan diet. The property is just a short walk to the plaza. Area is very quiet at night and black out shades assure a good night’s sleep.
I think this is one of the most beautiful hotels in Colombia, and has the best location in exquisite Villa de Leyva! Our room was excellent with a balcony and a view of one of the lovely courtyards.
The room felt like a little elf house. It was super quaint and cute. We really liked the kitchen and the garden. The staff were really nice too. Would recommend if you're in Villa de Leyva.
