My partner and I LOVED our stay at Blue Apple -- so much so, the second we left we were already scheming about when/how to return. Every detail is flawless: the staff, the rooms (the pics don't do justice to how nice the rooms are), the food, the drinks, the beach, everything. It's a 25-minute boat ride to get there (which was really fun by itself), but it feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. During the day (from about 11:30 until 4:30), there's definitely more of a party scene, which was great for day drinking and people-watching, but the resort gets very quiet again at night. The beachside cabanas are ideal for a little more privacy, away from the liveliness of the pool. We stayed in the room called "Papaya" attached to the main house and slept amazingly well. We also took advantage of the yoga classes they offered while we were there (thanks to a visiting yoga instructor), which were great - they have mats and blocks in every room available for use. The food/drinks deserve a special call-out; we were surprised to find new, delicious additions at every mealtime, so we never felt tired of the offerings. Oh - and the massages!! I got one 2/3 days we were there. Could life get any better? Thanks for a beautiful time, Blue Apple.

We stayed in one of the villas for 3 nights and it was a highlight of our week long trip to Cartagena. The city is very busy and can be overwhelming at times so it was nice to get a little break at this great hotel and beach club. The food was great and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend hotel fenix to anyone visiting. Also a plus that it’s a very short boat trip from the city. The villa with private pool was perfect

friendly staff. and great environment. this was a little ways from a lot of the activities for the beach. a nice white area of the island. probably the best place to stay away from the busy activities.
