Comfortable home, characterful atmosphere, amazing view and conveniently equipped with all practical things one could wish for; like a washing machine (great when traveling light with kids). The car free village also offers a lot of facilities (range of restaurants, 2 supermarkets - COOP was our favorite, tennis pitch etc) and endless starting points for great hikes (of course you should hike along side the Aletsch). In the next village - at walking distance or even faster to reach by electric bus shuttle - there is a lake you can swim in on hotter days. Despite not being able to get your car up to the village, transportation of luggage by cable cart was made extremely easy by offering families larger trolleys you could ‘fill’ …. These where taken up in a special cable cart. The house was not more than 5 minutes walking distance from the cable cart station in Riederalp west. So the village being car free shouldn’t stop anyone from booking.
