WHEREAS the Chief Public Health Officer may take certain actions including issuing directions or orders for the purpose of protecting the public health under the authority of the Public Health Act, S.N.W.T. 2007, c.17, I, Dr. Kami Kandola, as Chief Public Health Officer of the Northwest Territories have issued the Public Health Order Dated April 21, 2021 Allowing Residents and Non-Residents Of The Northwest Territories To Stay At A Remote Lodge Or At Other Remote Locations With Tourism Activities, Operated By A Remote Tourism Operator - Including Exemption To The Public Health Order - Covid-19 Travel Restrictions and Self-Isolation Protocol - As Amended December 1, 2020.
This approval order allows the operator to resume remote lodge tourism activities or tourism activities in remote locations as applicable, under their approved NWT Remote Tourism Operator COVID-19 Operations Plan and supporting mitigation plan documents.
